Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine will endorse Rick Santorum this afternoon, Ohio Republicans confirm.

DeWine, a Romney endorser, will announce his decision to change endorsements in remarks at the Ohio State House in Columbus, OH. Santorum is currently leading Romney in the state, 42 percent to 24 percent in the latest Rasmussen poll.

DeWine and Santorum were both clobbered in their 2006 reelection bids, Santorum to Bob Casey and DeWine to Sherrod Brown.

Mitt Romney's campaign is trying to spin some bull about how DeWine was upset that Romney attacked Santorum for something that DeWine had previously supported. I'd bet my bottom dollar, however, that the real reason is Mike DeWine thinks Rick Santorum will beat Romney in Ohio.

~~~Is Willard losing support and will the GOP get behind Santorum!?
Defector Mike DeWine on Romney: "To be elected President, you have to do more than tear down your opponents."
And Santorum has done "more than tear down your opponents", which is critical to getting elected in Repugs hated-filled, polarized electorate?
Isn't all of this sounding like the Evangelicals who got together in Texas just before the South Carolina Primary to support one candidate (who happened to be Santorum), have about got it accomplished?
