I am sure that Pop used that Lakers series in 2008 as the basis for wanting more offense. He thinks the defense was good enough, but the offense wasn't.

The Lakers were pretty good on offense, but they were also always usually 3-6 defensive team. Weren't the best on defense, but always up there when they were winning rings. It's like Pop has ignored or overlooked that part of it and went entirely for offense.
