With the ploys which marketing forces use to get WWE/Laker Fans allegiance, worship and money what are the similarities? Are there any differences?

sons truth be told there are some legit Lakers fans out there, but they are very few and far between. statistically at least 91% of all Lakers fans are your typical bandwagon jumpers who buy into anything SportsCenter or the rest of the sports news media tells them. they also possess a very low basketball IQ and to be quite frank, are extremely ignorant to the game of basketball. Most of these so called fans are also so called fans of other popular and trendy teams in other sports such as the Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees, Detroit Red Wings, etc. ,etc. teams that play in cities/states that these so called fans have absolutely no connection to whatsoever other than the nightly top 10 plays segment on SportsCenter.
Being a Lakers fan is about "being seen and heard about being a Lakers fan" more so than it is about the actual game itself. These individuals usually have the same mentality about many aspects in their lives. Its all about latching on to whoever is the flavor of the week or trendy at the time and then acting as if you have been a legit fan forever. The moment the Lakers have a bad year or two then most of these so called fans will become Clippers or Knicks or Bulls or Hornets fans overnight.

damn @ 80's WWF ...... the day I knew wrestling was fake was when Flair busted Dusty Rhodes open with a chair and later that night, I saw them both at a Hawks game.
