Hello Spurs fans.
I'm an American who lives in Berlin, Germany (been in Europe for 20 years). My son and I have been die-hard Spurs fans that whole time. I will be flying in to attend my first Spurs Home Game to see them beat Dallas on March 23rd. My adult son will also fly in from San Francisco so we can attend the game together. Does anyone have a spare room with two beds that a fellow Spurs fan can get at a reasonable price for March 23 and 24th? Or do you now a good place to stay at a good price?
Thanks! GO-SPURS-GO:flag:

When we go down to San Antonio, we always stay at the Embassy Suites by the airport. Free drinks in the evening, good breakfast, nice two room suite.

I live in Buffalo, NY. You're more than welcome to stay with me. We have valet parking, clean sheets, Verizon Fios and a make your own breakfast buffet. Although, its a about a two day drive to the arena. Is that Ok, or were you looking for something a little bit closer?

Selina Inn on old HWY 90 has really good specials, you can get accomodations anywhere from a month at a time, or even 30 minute rates.

Sounds fun, hope you have a great time!
For your and your son's sake, I hope that won't be one of the games in which Coach Pop decides to sit out Tim, Tony and/or Manu, even though they are healthy enough to play. Yes, Dallas is a division foe, but this is a condensed season, and player health for the playoffs is paramount, so you never know.
But if this does happen, and you're upset about it, don't post your feelings here, because you'll be told "tough shit," or "you should have known better." :bang
After all, there's no guarantee that the star players will play. As a paying customer, the only guarantees are that you'll be gouged on:
ticket prices,
food and beverage prices,
merchandise prices, and
parking lot fees.

So fucking true. Those Popobitches can be quite an annoying bunch. This is especially true even when you criticize the Omnipotent One in the slightest of ways. But then again, according to these people Pop's never made an error in his whole career. :rolleyes

There are a lot of reasonable hotels in SA but consider this place:
Bullis House Inn
Pierce Street, San Antonio, Texas, USA 78208
Highly rated and Historic mansion beautifully restored in the 1980s, the Bullis House Inn is a three story neo-classical designed mansion that was built from 1906 to 1909 for General John Lapham Bullis, a frontier Indian fighter who played a key role in the capture of the famous Apache chief, Geronimo. Bullis House is a registered Texas historic landmark and near downtown San Antonio, in the Government Hill Historic District.
As a young Army officer stayed here a few nights, while awaiting a room on base - kind of like a bed and breakfest except you need to notify them in advance and pay a nominal fee for that meal.

rofl, this guy is looking for a place to stay and this somehow turns into a Pop bashing session?
We'll need a "Godwin's Law" for Pop at this rate. :lol

I was there 3 days ago and stayed at the Comfort Inn Suites at 410 and Culebra, near SeaWorld. It was $84 + tax ($99 total) for a suite with two queen size beds and a couch that turns into a bed. Breakfast included. Place was nice and I though the price was fairly good.

Theres was a time and age in this forum when a request like this would likely mean someone would open up their doors to you and allow you to stay with them. But now, lol, fuck that. Too many assholes and crazy people to take a chance.
I hope you find a place, but if nothing else try a site like priceline or hotwire. Definitely a lot of cheap hotel rooms in SA at this time of year.

Though about contacting some peeps here, but frankly I was there with my wife, father in law and my nephew and we only stayed Sat to Sun, so it would've been complicated. Maybe next time if I have more time :toast

Very true on both counts. The people of SA looked after me like royalty on my two trips, and I'll always be grateful for that. :toast
I'd definitely look at the place Rummpd recommended.

This is actually a pretty good suggestion. It's in a quiet neighborhood but also really close to downtown (the Riverwalk and really close to the renovated Pearl Brewery district). It's seconds away from I-35 highway at the same time and maybe 2 or 3 exits from the arena. And, it's also the only Youth Hostel in San Antonio - so if you really need to save money you can try the adjoining hostel, which I've heard is like bunk beds or something like that.
