Who you got? Derek Fisher? Metta World Peace? Richard Jefferson? Is Wes Johnson still starting?

Raymond Felton. He just got benched though.

I'd take Fisher and Metta over RJ

Ryan Fitzpatrick

The Lakers not only have 2 of the worst starters in the game in MWP and Fisher, they also have the worst bench. Kind of miraculous how 3 players are keeping this team competitive.

Omri Casspi. Worst thing to come out of Israel since the Deir Yassin Massacre.

Artest is better than Dick easily

Artest is better than Dick easily

Dick is terrible but no he isn't. At least RJ can hit the three, Artest can do much of anything but sink his team by missing shot after shot and play defense which doesn't make up for his lack of any offensive ability this season

Odom if Stern would have let that deal go through.

Not the worst starter, obviously, but Amare is the worst max player in the league right now

You guys should look at Felton's stats. He's bringing an entirely new definition to the word FAIL.

i would still take metta world peace over RJ

noob cake
02-29-2012, 03:06 AM
Metta tries to play defense. Fish brings leadership. RJ can shoot the occasional jumper.

Felton, I'm not familiar with his body of work this season. But Omri Casspi should be the winner. I watch a lot of Irving/Cavs as a Dukie and I can tell you that Omri Casspi is the worst starter in the league.

Jefferson isn't even close, tbh..he shoots over 40% from 3s, which is an accomplishment in itself..that's a lot more than a lot of current starters can show..

This is true, but I think people are already looking towards his imminent playoff no-show again, where that % will drop to 29 and he'll become a complete liability on the defensive end.

jimo2305
03-01-2012, 01:18 PM
i don't have to wait till the playoffs.. i've already seen jefferson butcher plays and lay inconsistent on the offensive end..

he has no business being a starter.. we will use your high %s when you come off the bench.. the sad thing is it's a hit or miss with RJ..

i mean.. even the spurs tried to amnesty this guy.. that's how bad he is..

TD is off the books this season.

But let's wait 2 years, and test that theory of yours in Kobe's 31m salary.

Plus, notice how you jumped on Laker's boat, even though what I said is completely true:

Lakers cap is killing the possibility of getting decent starters, aside of a possible trade.

Lakers have a never-ending war chest in their TV deal. They'll have been fully reloaded by that time.

I'm sorry HEB can't do the same for the Spurs

Being in San Antonio is killing the possibility of getting any worthwhile FA's. Just hope there's another HOF big man the Spurs can tank for again (a la 1997).

They could get paid 5b every year, and it would still not change how the cap works. Shows how uch you know, right?

There's no hardcap, and the NBA needs the Lakers to stay competitive. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news for you. We will have D12 soon enough, and the FA's will flock afterwards.

Your small-town inferiority complex is showing though...don't be scared of daddeh

Nice backpedaling.

Is there a hardcap...Yes or No?

:lolnow let's see you act like that's unimportant and the owners didn't fight for it.

I'm sorry you can't accept reality, and I'm sorry your city has nothing to offer.:lol

I never mentioned San Antonio (btw, I don't live there). You did, once your idiocy was exposed. I merely stated the truth: The Lakers problems start with the cap. There is no need of a hard cap to screwup, when you pay 31M to a player (maybe not now, but when they make more signs, they have to consider a few years ahead as well).

But don't worry! The TV deal will totally expand the salary cap! It's in the CBA! It's the Lakers, of course it will happen! I mean, look, luxury means nothing to Lakers, they have fucking Michael Beasley! They will sign Dwight and Paul too!

Did the owners not make a hardcap one of their big points, and was it not a partial reason for an extended lockout?

about mono you're correct though tbqh

SA does have cheap real estate and low taxes and decent schools. that's worth something to some players. hence why the FO and Pop act the way they do (classy) and don't tolerate shit.

That doesn't compete with desired locations such as Miami, LA, CHI, and NY tho, hence why no big FA's have ever signed there (other than re-signing Duncan in 2000). Duncan is a recluse though and needed a place where he wouldn't be judged for trampstamps and his LARPing fetish

Ah! "Ryan, you are an idiot. How can you say Kobe works as a call girl on LA friday night?!? Dude, show some respect!"

Besides: Lakers need no hard cap to explain Kobe's 31m salary.

Now I've got you running in circles back to your favorite topic in the world: Kobe:lol

As long as there's no hardcap, the teams with money will spend money. It's common fucking sense. If you can land a marquee FA or 2, you take the hit.

Spur_Fanatic
03-01-2012, 04:42 PM
Lakers can't afford it. They have the money, I agree. And the owner is clearly a fan, so he will use it for luxury shit. But they first have to fix their cap management. Doesn't matter if they have money, if there's a cap they have to follow. Of course they can land great FA's. And yes, LA is a desirable free agent destination. But at the end of the day, they have to cut the pie for 15 players, not 4. If you know a way they can sign Howard, sign a decent PG, and still keep a decent roster, pls say so.

Mind you, Lakers seem to be in middle of a family takeover by the Buss family, so I think we giving them too much credit.
