Well I was at the airport to welcome the Spurs back but couldn't see a damn thing. There was a good crowd there but unless you were in the trees, at the fence or on top of a vehicle you had no idea what was going on. Was that Horry who spoke to the crowd? All I heard was "for your support." I took some pics but on a cheap disposable, so if anyone's got some good digital pics they could post that'd be great :spin

Good pics at night would require a very powerful flash to illiuminate over the very probably long distance to the object of the photo.

The best source for pics, and videos, from the airport would be the news crews shooting much closer than the typical fan.

Spurs fans knew they'd get past the first round. Unlike the Mavs.

Actually this is the first time I've ever done that, but since this was the last road game of the season I needed to get my butt over there. Besides, I was so joyous after that game I just needed to share it.

That's because...

A. The Spurs won the first round @ home.
B. Getting past the first round isn't our ultimate goal.
C. We were @ the airport after Phoenix. AlamoSpursFan has the keychains to prove it.

There are apparently airport pics at Spurs.com.

I can't tell because they won't load in Firefox.

I was in the very front at the airport and took pictures with my camera. It is not digital but I am getting the pictures on cd.

If one of you computer wiz can use that and post the good pics ( hopefully there are some), let me know and I'll lend you the CD.

I should get it from Walmart this ( Monday) after noon.

Appoggiatura: n. Mus. An embellishint note, usually one step above or below the note it precedes and indicated by a small note or special sign

It's the word that won the national spelling bee this year! How appropriate!

Haha, thats gotta be related to Pop making spelling bees with the players everytime someone makes up a word.

Otherwise known as a grace note, which is also fairly apropos.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken Pop is a follower of classical music which is probably where he got it from. Very appropriate though, I love it!

Well, the concept of a "spelling bee" was "foreign" to some of the foreign players (:lol)...there was a blurb about their reactions in the news a while back.

Yeah, the Spurs had a mini-spelling bee because Manu and some of the others from different countries didn't know what they were after hearing about the National Spelling Bee. The shirt is probably referring to that as a joke. They should sell them in the Fanshop ;)

Sorry guys, my pictures did not come out- not a one.

I should have known. If I had not been up 20 hours straight, I would have released that the flash was going to reflect off the fence.

Is such a shame though. I know you guys were waiting for my Rasho pictures! () = )

So that's why Manu was about the only one not wearing that shirt last night :lol

I was there in the first round, and there were people there, not as much as there was this morning, but there was a good amount of people there. Mouse never calls out players, he calls out fans.

"I would have released that the flash"

huh?

You're little flash probably wouldn't have illuminated any object more that 10 ft away, 15 ft max. I always smile when I see fans' flashes going off in a baseball or football stadium. Very cool effect but TOTALLY USELESS when the illuminated objects are 100's of ft away. Not even super-powerful professional flashes could reach that far.

God I am so tired. Slept three hours in the last 29. I meant that I should have known better to use my camera at all. I am not surprised by your confusion. You have a working brain. = ) I don't know what I meant about releasing the flash.
