Gary Neal will start for Danny Green tonight. Per Pop, it's a way to get Neal more minutes heading toward playoff rotation.

Tony Parker "a little dinged up," according to Pop. Left wrist, right calf. Parker will play through it, as he has been.

RT @Monroe_SA: Tyson Chandler (left ham), Jare jeffries (rt. Knee) both out for Knicks vs. #Spurs

Facing Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire is never an "easy win"...I expect a challenging win.

Hopefully Neal getting the nod over Green will help get the team off to a better start. Been frustrating to watch them start games out of sync offensively and immediately getting themselves into a hole. It's been a bad habit all season; starters get in a funk, and then the bench comes in and digs them out of it. Would really like to see them come out early and jump on the Knicks early.

Another good byproduct of this shuffle is that it guarantees TJ Ford the minutes at backup point guard, which I think will be necessary going forward.

Jefferson and Neal suck too much on defense to start together :td

It's looking like Pop is banishing all notion of defense this game, counting on the Knick's lack of inside presence to make the offense enough. Makes me feel queasy.

Their other guys can play some D. At least they were while the Knicks were on their win streak. But I never trust a Mikey D team to play D the whole game.

And Bonner on Amare for any amount of time kinda makes me sick.

Get ready for another hostile home crowd. My wife and daughter are at the game tonight. Wife just texted and said that the crowd looks to be 15-20% Asian. Add in the non-Asian Lin bandwagoners, and it's going to be like the Chicago game. Hopefully the Spurs fans will bring it, but when that much of the crowd is cheering for the other team, it's not going to be like it should be at a home game.

I couldn't tell how low on the back TJ got hit. That could have been a kidney shot. That's a fucking paralyzing blow if you get hit hard. He was kicking his legs, and moving his arms. They need to get Ginobili involved more.....

Again, hate to see TJ go down but I think this will be a blessing in disguise for Ginobili.

With Tony playing as well as he is right now, it doesn't make sense for Manu to take touches away from Tony.

Manu should be taking touches away from Gary Neal's faux point guard schtick (Neal will happily defer here) and T.J. Ford.

T.J.'s not really a spot up shooter. He doesn't really have a consistent 3 point shot. He doesn't score off the ball like Leonard can. He needs the ball in his hands to be effective, but at the same time, we have to get Manu back into rhythm.

Having T.J. and Manu out on the floor (with Tony off) makes absolutely no sense. Sure, you can have T.J. handle the ball and facilitate (and have Manu sit outside shooting 3s off of T.J.'s penetration) but why the hell would we want to do that :lol. We'd be skimping on Ginobili's full potential.

T.J. Ford's role right now is to act as a back up point guard for Tony if Tony goes down with an injury.

He had a role as the primary ball handler for the second unit when Manu was injured, but with Manu back, I really do not see how T.J. Ford will fit into a potential playoff rotation. I don't see him getting much (if any) playoff minutes.
