On a completely unrelated note, Pau Gasol is rumored to have been traded today.. :stirpot:

Damn, this team can't stay healthy. :pctoss

So I'm assuming Neal and Ginobili are starting now? Ford is out. Starting Joseph against CP3 would be suicide and you need Ginobili next to Neal if Neal is gong to survive.

Parker landed awkwardly last game and his ankle and knee seemed to bend at odd angles. Let's hope it's actually a thigh contusion and not something ankle or knee related.

I assume Danny Green will play his backup point cameo role too...

Pop called it a thigh strain. Hopefully it wasn't from that awkward landing. Wonder if it's actually a strain or a contusion.

And apparently the starting lineup will be:

Duncan
Blair
Jefferson
Green
Neal

:wow That's a shockingly little amount of ballhandling to start an NBA game.

:lol If Pau weren't playing we could work that angle.

:lol Spurs just can't catch a break. Figures once they start winning on the road they can't win at home.

That would have to be nearly the least amount of ballhandling for a starting lineup. Ever.

Jefferson might be the worst ballhandling wing in the league, Neal is ok for a SG but very bad for a PG and Green is decent for a wing. Duncan and Blair, well, you know. Sheesh.

In terms of severity strain > contusion (they're different problems altogether, but sports-wise you'd rather Tony have a contusion than a strain).

The injury doesn't sound bad, hopefully he will be back shortly.

Cory Joseph will have a career night with 10/4/8. Spurs will eek out a win with Manu heroics and CIA Pop calling the plays.

They showed that play in the broadcast and Sean said hyperextended knee

Duncan kept playing after the Scot Pollard incident as well, tbh.

Parker strained his right quadricep in the Spurs’ victory over New York Wednesday night. Parker has been banged up with assorted other bumps and bruises since the All-Star Game and will miss his second game of the season. The only other game he has missed was the Spurs’ season-worst 137-97 loss at Portland on Feb. 2.

“We had an MRI that we checked out to see if it was torn or ruptured,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. “It wasn’t. He could probably go out and play, but that doesn’t make any sense.”
