Blame Pop. He'll keep everyone guessing what Manu's role is going to be for another 5-10 games yet, minimum. Then as soon as the team looks like its finally piecing together some cohesion again, he'll decide its time for Manu to start. Pop has impeccable timing that way.

You dicks are so retarded. Allways shitting all over Pop like he hasn't gotten your god forsaken town 4 rings. Who would you rather have for a coach? Del Negro? D'antony? McMillan? Spoelstra? Who? You shut the fuck up and be happy Pop ever set foot in your fucking village.

Pop screwed up the momentum with that throw away game, his sucky rotations and stubbornness.

Nope. As the minor league expert says, we're all just imagining that. The winning streak never ended. It's up to 18 games now.

Good shit, bum. Great line from a great show.

Is ducks crazy?! Spurs lost to a good team (even though it was at home) while their best player (this year) was out. Mo Williams shot like he was young Ray Allen or vintage Reggie Miller.

Only concern for Spurs is the defense, or lack there of. Clips are not title favorites because of this win, and the Spurs are not done because of the loss. ALL of the contenders: Thunder, clips, Heat, Bulls Mavs etc have been losing games they shouldn't since the ASB. Lakers have lost 2 of them, but I dont think we are legit contenders anyway. Memphis is probably p;laying the best right now, but I dont see them making the finals regardless.

Agree with this sentiment but it will be the other way around. When Danny Green is a letdown and it finally sinks in that Neal is too short then he'll revert Manu back to starting five. Really hammer home his players confidence and pray for a miricle from Manu.

I am a little confused as to why were the Spurs able to win so many games without their 'best player' and are now struggling with their 'best player' back

it's probably bonner's fault somehow

Just to help your confusion . Bonner missing those wide open threes in the 4th , not counting the ones he passed up or took off the dribble, probably had to do with Tony not being there.

:lol from just reading Spurstalk, one would inevitably come to the conclusion that Bonner is about a 24% 3 point shooter and has missed more wide open threes than anyone in NBA history.

Nah, you just would conclude he's a below average player getting too many minutes on a team that pretends to fight for a title...

his career on court/off court stats would beg to differ. most 'above average' players don't help their teams as much.

agree wholeheartedly about the 'pretends to fight for title' though. the one time the Spurs FO ever actually tried, we got Jefferson, although I still applaud the effort...

a good FO would have traded Manu years ago

Was that a 40% 3-point shooter missing wide open threes and passing them up last night? Were the clippers allowing him to shoot in the end? It sure did look like that to me. Having Manu out there creating open looks instead of Tony could of messed with his hand-eye coordination.

He wasn't alone in the pussy stakes. RJ didn't even want to shoot.

His individual stats (widely used around the league to gauge production for every player) reflect he's a mediocre player who actually gets worse when the playoffs roll around. Above average players don't normally shit their pants on the limelight.

a good FO would have traded Manu years ago

Outside 2009, Manu was never the problem in this team. He always elevated his game for the playoffs.

These are things we know.

You guys are genuinely fuckin morons if you think Manu is a liability to this team. If you are implying Parker is better you are ignorant. A streaky shooting PG who thrives in the paint, but who is to small and unathletic to really live in the paint. Don't forget he is also an absolute liability on Defense. Aside from his 07 finals MVP, every year in the playoffs he gets shut down by any team with size. They reject him over and over, and he starts turning the ball over. Don't worry, you will be on Manu's nuts in 2 weeks.

:lol comparing a top 5 PG in the league today to a player that can't even dribble around a geriatric Caron Butler these days

Manu is a 34+ slowpoke that pretty much shoots 3s cause that's all he got these days.

Time to face the music.

Manu still creates for others and gets to the line quite alot. Has to be doing something other than just shooting 3's. That's Jefferson's schtick.

When he's 100% healthy he's still a top 3 SG in the league. Will Parker be able to say that 5 years from now? Doubtful with all the young up and comers like Wall, Rubio, Irving, etc.

Hate the lack of resiliency, not the player.
