Sources: Brandon Marshall to Bears
By Adam Schefter | ESPN
The Miami Dolphins have traded receiver Brandon Marshall to the Chicago Bears for two third-round picks, according to league sources.
The sources said Chicago will send its third-round pick in 2012 and 2013 to Miami for the Pro Bowl wideout.
The trade reunites Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and Marshall, who played together in Denver. Jeremy Bates, who was Cutler and Marshall's offensive coordinator in Denver, is also the Bears' passing game coordinator.
The Bears were in search of a big-play target to complement Cutler. Chicago hasn't had a receiver with a 1,000-yard receiving season in nine years.
Dealing Marshall allows the Dolphins to add to its draft war chest as new coach Joe Philbin attempts to turn Miami around. However, it also deprives the Dolphins of the type of weapon that intrigued free-agent quarterback Peyton Manning.

Greg Cote of the Miami Herald said this move only makes sense if Miami already has a deal with Peyton and his receivers. He's a senior writer and usually very reliable, take that for what it's worth....

Manning is a dumbass if he chooses the fins over the cards. His career will waste away with that shitty franchise.

With the Dolphins making this trade, I can't see why Manning would wanna go there now. UNLESS he does have an agreement with all his peeps from the Colts to follow him to Miami as well....

Bears = Officially Title Contenders. I've never seen one conference so stacked like the NFC in this coming year
How are the Bears able to trade & sign for all these studs

Agree. I like the Marshall trade for the Bears, but they definitely need to focus their attention and resources on upgrading and fortifying their O-line in a major way.

A team with Cutler and Marshall will never make a Super Bowl, they're both soft and mentally weak, tbh..

This was the best offer Miami could get for Marshall and it had nothing to do with Manning.
My guess is there are more problems ahead for Marshall and the Dolphins wanted to get something while they could.
Dolphins got over on Chicago pretty good, imo.
The problem is that Miami gave Marshall that crappy deal to begin with.

Jeff Ireland is a dumbass. I don't doubt Miami needed to deal BM but he is running a clown show in Miami.

After hearing that Marshall will be paid under $6 million next season, I changed my mind......good deal for Chicago.
