I like hearing the crowd to chant overrated to Lin. well . maybe in some ways he is overrated but i still think dude can be an all star player though. Lin. pressure can be converted to motivation. just hang in there & kick Melo's ass out~

In a move obviously motivated by their pride and joy for reigning MVP Derrick Rose, Chicago Bulls fans chanted "overrated" as New York Knicks star Jeremy Lin shot a pair of free throws in the Bulls' 104-99 win at the United Center Monday night.

As Rose shined, with 32 points, seven assists and six rebounds in the win, Lin managed just 15 points on 4-of-11 shooting, eight assists and one rebound in his first crack at Rose as a starter for the Knicks.

The chant from the Bulls faithful is unwarranted money-wise. As the ESPN announcers stated, Lin only makes the league minimum of $762,165 for a second-year player.

Lin is definitely out-performing his contract at the moment, but should be handsomely paid if he can keep this level of play up all season.

As far as being overrated compare to the insane hype surround Linsanity, one could argue the hoopla is a little overblown and could make an argument that such a big deal shouldn't be made of a player who is averaging 15 points, 6.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game. His numbers suggest he is not a top-five point guard as many suggest.

So depending on how you look at it, Lin could be either overrated or deserving of all the accolades that he has been receiving. But one thing is for sure: Like him or not, the Linsanity is great for the NBA, which is still recovering fans who checked out after the lockout that preceded this season.

Lin has no power to kick a superstar out of a team. Even though that superstar is one pretentious and ballhogging sack of shit, Lin ain't got no power.

Lin is overrated, but all NBA players are either underrated or overrated

The crowd is butthurt that Lin, lacking of experience and athleticism, gave the "MVP" trouble

Lin is rich and isn't leaving the league anytime soon. The team might not develop, but it's not his fault. If anything, Lin might be what gets the owners to seriously consider making critical moves in coaching. With the craze that Lin generated, the money has to be rolling in and that gets things moving right along.

Stern should be kissing Lin's ass for saving his shortened season. Without Linsanity, it would just be a bunch of tired ass teams playing musical chairs until only one is left.

Seriously? Using rare earth materials like Tungsten helps us create clean energy. We come out on top because having access to those rare materials will bring down cost and keep jobs here.
