@WojYahooNBA

Portland's talks with Minnesota for Jamal Crawford are part of a 3-way scenario with Lakers, source says. Michael Beasley would go to LA.

Why all the sudden desire to move Crawford? I mean, who would want to pick him up at this point unless they got picks/expirings?

Also, if Crawford is traded, his player option of 5mil for next season is still open, correct?

This is stupid for the Lakers. Odom is by far a better player than Beasley.

A pretty big question mark is over Odom's head, and by Big well....I mean that literally

But seriously, I think if Odom stayed with the Lakers he won;t be as bad as he is with the Mavs right now. Odom loves LA, vice versa. I thought the trade was the last straw for Odom this season and he completely went into i dont give a shit mode.

Most likely Blake.

And lakers are also working on a 3 way deal to land sessions:

3 way trade

Steve Blake to Portland
Crawford to Minny
Beasley to LA

?

Just curious, why not just go for Jamal Crawford? Jamal off the bench to back up Kobe will be HUGE for the Lakers. He can easily solve LA's offensive bench scoring woes. I havent seen much of Beasley though, but according to Minnesota fans he can be incredibly good or incredibly stupid. Jamal Crawford may be a chucker but he's a consistent scorer.

This would fill 3 needs and bring balance to support KGB:

- PG
- SF
- Bench scorer

I just hope we keep Glock. I like that kid.

Sessions
Mamba
Beasley
Pau
Beast (AKA Baby Drew)

Crawford is old. Beasley is young and could learn from Mamba, and grow with Bynum as a player.

Beasley is a cancer and terrible team player, but it would be a great addition for a team that desperately needs some bench scoring..

Lakers currently have only 3 players that can score on a consistent basis, any other semi-reliable scorer would be a massive upgrade..

Don't be surprised if the Minnesota Timberwolves trade forward Michael Beasley to the Los Angeles Lakers and acquire guard Jamal Crawford from Portland in a three-team deal that would send Lakers guard Derek Fisher to the Trail Blazers.

jamal Crawford doesn't appear to be in uniform for the Blazers on Wednesday, signaling that a three-team trade between Portland, the Lakers and Timberwolves could be close to being finalized. Michael Beasley and Steve Blake could also be included in the deal, but we'll have to wait and see what news follows. Stay tuned.

Fish playing for the Lakers...

midnightpulp
03-14-2012, 07:39 PM
This would a stellar trade for the Purp 'n Piss. A low-key move that doesn't shake up the roster too much, addresses their problems, and most importantly, keeps Gasol on the team.

That said, the Lakers should've filled these holes via the draft, but we all know the idiots that run that organization can't draft for shit unless it's a no-brainer (like Kobe or Bynum).

As part of the deal, is Fisher going to be put out of his misery?

For a 2nd round pick, the Spurs will give up a silver bullet.

Heard Matt Barnes is also part of the package going to Portland, which sucks for the Lakers because he's one of the few Lakers out there who can cut and slash to the basket. He's a pretty good glue guy for them.

DPG21920
03-14-2012, 08:29 PM
How would that work for LA? Beasley 6.2M and Fish only makes 3.4M.

Ok, Matt Barnes/Fish makes sense (although I'd argue Crawford is worth the 2M extra you are saving in this trade).

I don't get POR's motivation unless they got picks for Jamal. If it's for Fisher/Barnes, they save about 1.5M I think, but they get useless players for their team. If it's for Blake, he sucks and has a longer contract (1 extra year at 4M).
