He ain't worth what they are gonna pay him, I have seen every game of his. Good player and good guy, just not great.

This should be interesting. I'd hate for this to end up, after a few years, as a huge waste of money, but the potential of that defensive line would be sweet.

Interesting if he heads there. When the Texans drafted him and they were dealing with the outcry over not getting Bush or VY one of the more convincing arguments I saw centered on likening him to Bruce Smith, one of the first pieces of the puzzle that the Bills put in place before going on their big run in the 90s.

There were signs yesterday that this was going to happen. I'd love to have him back, but with the way the defense produced after he went down it's hard to justify spending the cash it would take to keep him...especially with some of the ridiculous contracts that have been handed out so far. That said, he'll be a nice addition to the Bills.

He's not that good, & damn loyalty it seems has died forever.

Congrats to DD... not looking forward to having Mario Williams in the division.

Oh, and LOL to everyone who thought that picking Mario over Reggie Bush was stupid.

The hope is that Mario brings other FA's with him now.

Exactly. The money isn't necessarily about spending whatever Mario's worth, but to send a statement that they're willing to pay (and maybe overpay) to show dedication to having a good team. Smart move by the Bills (and while it was panned due to bad play late in the season, locking up Fitzy was a good move ultimately. You can't keep trying out a new QB every year and expecting to win.)

great pickup by the Bills...I don't think he's worth that much, but great signing nonetheless.

Kinda been the going theme of this offseason. Hell...look at what the Bucs paid that lineman from the Saints.

You guys should just get used to seeing these contracts. I love it. Much happier seeing this money go to these players instead of rookies.
