I am a fan of the RJ for SJ trade but seeing that Nene was available, a quality big, I am just wondering what we would have had to add to RJ to get him to the Spurs. It didn't appear that Washington gave up that much to get him. Ah well, it just appear that a couple of complimentary bigs were moved and Nene is better than even that, just wish the Spurs could have gotten one.

Hey I am all for putting in a flier on Greg Oden, if we can let Splitter and other draft picks play overseas to mature, then why not put a try in on Oden, not a big rush and bring him on slowly.

Downgrade from the original, tbh.

Denver just cleared a crap load of cap space....Nene is being paid $13 mil. per season and his contract runs through 2015/2016 season! :wow

Not to mention that the Rockets got Marcus Camby for Johnny Flynn and Hasheem Thabeet. Not that the Spurs could've gotten him, since we didn't have another expendable contract (other than Bonner) to get us even CLOSE to the $11 million Camby is making this season. Insane!

The Spurs may have traded need (a big) for cash (unless something more happens).

Can't argue with it since the Spurs need to be frugal.

Spurs are pretty much watching Kaman/Diaw very closely

They're going after Howard in 2013.

Washington was able to absorb almost his whole contract. We couldn't do that, nor could we send out contracts ending on or before 2013.

Is this guy really trying to convince us that Jefferson + shit is better than McGee?

An RJ for Camby trade would have worked. Portland was basically having a fire sale.

I'm really shocked at the Nene trade. Denver worked him hard to stay there after losing Anthony and had an almost tearful press conference with him when he decided to stay.

Wonder what's going on in Denver?

They're in sixth place in the WC, and sliding backwards.

I like it from Denvers POV. I understand completely wanting Nene back, but he's been below his norm, and it's a lot of money for a 34 year old. Also, while McGee is dumb, he's also good.

I'm thinking we were shopping at Marshalls and you think we could have afforded Nordstroms.
