Heck, the Spurs can probably get back all their old castoffs (Elson, Carter, etc.) if they play it right. :)

Aside of a bigman, Spurs need to add a reliable PG. When I look at free agent PG, there isn't a single one that really strikes me as a potential good signing. It's possible that Anthony Carter is one of the less worst of the bunch so why not...

If Derek Fisher is bought out by the Rockets like they are bandying about here in Houston, I'd be first in line for him. Can still shoot and will be solid enough just to keep Parker fresh.

D-Fish on the Spurs? Man that would be heresy but they said the same thing about Horry.

I'm pretty sure my brain would go into shock if I ever saw Fisher in a Spurs uni. But it'd be fun having him take it to the Lakers.

If they played the Lakers hopefully he wouldn't shoot as badly as Horry did...

The same Anthony Carter the Spurs waived due to injury 9 years ago after only a handful of games as a Spur??

The question with Fisher (if he is bought out) is for what role do you sign him:
- Do you sign him to be Spurs backup PG with Neal going back to he SG spot?
- Do you sign him as 3rd string PG?

I rather have Neal than Fisher as primary backup PG and I don't think Fisher would be fine with being a 3rd string PG. For these reasons, I don't think Fisher would be a good signing.

Spurs are just fine with Parker, Manu, Neal running the offense. Signing another PG would just be injury insurance.

Fuck that shit, I would never want Fisher on this team.

Anthony carter was washed up when we first had him back In 04. I was more surprised about him still being in. the league than Luke Walton

I like AC, but if you bring him in you get a logjam at 2 and 3 guard. Especially with SJax in the mix now.

The same Anthony Carter who faked being injured to get away from the Spurs ten years ago?

Didn't Jackson occasionally play point forward for Golden State? I think I remember seeing that. So we could have Parker backed up by Neal/Ginobili/Jackson in an emergency situation.

Wasn't it the other way around? Didn't AC not disclose an injury, then the Spurs discovered a few games in he was hiding it, and released him?

SJax was never meant to be a point anything. I still remember his shoulder high dribbling fast breaks...he's a 2 guard in a pinch but just play him at 3 that's what he is a natural at.

That's possible. Thank you for the clarification. What I do know is that I never liked the little fucker after that.

he's terrible. I'd rather sign Jacques Vaughn before AC.
