And spurs are down their starting small forward, who did a decent...decent...job on Durrant and Dirk earlier this year.
How do Spurs fair in these next 2 WC matchups?

Tbh, these are going to be difficult games to win. While replacing Jefferson isn't difficult in itself, he ate so many minutes that the rotations will be totally different. That will require an adjustment.
However, what I think will be more difficult is to focus on the here and now when everyone naturally wants to fast forward to begin to see how Jack fits in. Even someone like Tim Duncan, who is one of the most consistently focused players ever, probably can't wait to see Jack in silver and black again.
Thankfully, this is the type of situation Pop thrives in these days. When there's uncertainty and chaos, Pop usually finds a way get the players' attention and get everyone back to concentrating about winning.

More reason for Leonard to get the start. Keep Green in there, and keep bringing Manu off the bench.

It will be tough, especially minutes wise. I expect the Spurs go hard tonight & rest guys tomorrow.
Thing is, this trade forces the Spurs/Pop to play a better brand of player/basketball. Knowing that rotations are changed and along with the distribution of minutes it might cause some short-term hiccups. I don't mind it though because this style will be the only shot the Spurs have at making a playoff run.
Starting Kawhi (who is still a rookie, so keep that in mind) might cause a few hold up's on offense (not saying it will, just wouldn't be surprised), but if the Spurs are to change the culture, they will have to figure it out.
I expect struggles these next few games (against tough teams), but it will be better in the long-run.

expecting wins these next two games is not realistic. Although beating Dallas should be done. Dallas is right now a borderline playoff team.

I think Manu and Green start tonight

I think both these games are winnable. Manu has a couple games under his belt now, TP will get his and Duncan he been really solid. Other guys will have to step up and knock down their open shots (I'm looking at you Green & Bonner).
I think they can very well win both of these. They've played very well on the road during their road trip, so I think that really helped the bench/young guys development.

Spurs are down a SF, but word has come down that the Mavs are without Haywood for the next 4-5 games. Perhaps this will help even the score.

If spurs lose these 2 games they will be looking even more to Sjax as a season savior....thats alot of pressure on him.

But that SF was RJ, who took minutes away from Kawhi. It'd be liking losing Blair, and saying the Spurs are negatively affected by being down a staarting big. Tiago would end up gaining minutes, which is only a good thing for the Spurs.

I wonder if SJAX will be on the bench tonight (obviously not in uniform) but at least at the game.

The key to beating Dallas (for us) recently has been stopping Jason Terry. I think Duncan is gonna beat Irk in the individual matchup.

These games would be tough regardless of the roster changes. Two steps back for many more going forward.

That's right I forgot this game is in OKC, I was going off his tweet last night that he was back in Texas, and thought it would be cool for him to be with the team if they were playing at the AT&T.
He can get reacquainted with the Spurs practice facility while hopefully the Spurs take care of business in OKC.

Actually a one trick pony. If we can contain Terry we'll be fine. He turns it on against us and always wants to beat us. Can't wait to see Jax tangle with Terry next week :D and I'll be there for that one.

Bad timing with all the roster shakeup, and RJ hit a lot of timely shots this year. Shoes that can be filled in the long run, but there might be some struggles the next two nights. That said, this is a roster that for all intents and purposes swept the RRT. I believe.
