How much of a learning curve is there for Jax? Have the offensive and defensive plays changed much since Jax was here?


In an interview before the game, Jax said that the run through he had with some of the young guys was just about the same as 2003. Not much has changed. And having watched the Spurs for the last 25 years, not much has changed in the last 15 years except player names.

We have three days rest coming up so TP should be fine by Wednesday. Just need to pull out a win tonight.

AT the half, we have actually shot a higher field goal percentage than the Mavs have (46% to 42%), and we have 12 assists to their only 8. But they have out rebounded us by about 5 or so boards, and we have only shot 37% of our free throws to their 80%.

In other words, this is just a sloppy game by both teams, and if we could only get our regular percentage of free throws, we could be ahead.

You're right, he looks totally worn down to me. It looks more like fatigue than a wrist problem, although the fact that he is not taking many shots and not making most of those he is taking may indicate an issue with his wrist.

He's a huge advantage to the other team. You can give him a couple of open shots and if he hits them Pop can keep him out there. Then all you do is tighten up on him and not give him any space and abuse him on defense.

Works very well for the other team if you're good at defense, come playoff time it's part of the other teams major advantage against the Spurs.
