I remember hearing a lot of folks talking about how Rj was that 4th member who gave you guys a complete big 4 like Boston...... But that didn't seem to work out.
Last time Jackson got real minutes I belive he averged 18 a game or so..

Not worried about that.

Since 02-03, the highest scoring average for any Spur outside of the big 3 was George Hill at 12.4 ppg in 09-10.

Tbh, I don't want SJax averaging more than ~10-12 points per game. The team needs to revolve around the Big 3. Jackson needs to be a complementary player.
If he's averaging enough points to make the "Big 4" conversation a legit one, he'd be doing too much and the Spurs would be worse off.

Spurs fans might be setting the bar a little too high for Jax. Much of the reason we got him is because he's almost 34 and his game is in decline.
If his contribution is a net positive, then I'm satisfied.
SJax need to take all shots that Jefferson was taking , and add some of those which Jefferson was afraid to take. I mean going to FT line, attack the rim. If it give him 12 ppg or 18 ppg, it doesnt matter.
Be, another serious threat on offense with good defensive attitude. Dont force anything, dont play selfishness.

KL is averaging 11.6 pts, 7.6 rbs, 2.1 stl per 36 min (for the season) with great defense as of late - which is what the spurs need from the sf position. while i would welcome SJ putting up big numbers, i would rather he played above average defense and have good shooting percentages. that would make his stint with the spurs a success.
however, if gino went down for the season, ... , then it's a different story.

Is it neccesirly a bad thing if it's a big 4? If Jackson puts his scoring up to say 15-16 ppg( Not in a black hole way.. Lets say 45%)and it takes some of the pressure of Tony so he only has to average about 17-18 isn't that better for you come playoff time?

As long as he's hitting open 3's, shooting over 45% and play defense. I don't care how many points he scores.
I wouldn't mind seeing them called the big 4 if they win the title this season because of Jackson's efforts. Otherwise like others have said, just be solid.

I think Jackson's only the 4th best of the Wings(Behind Manu, kawhi and Green), so he should be in a complementary role. Best thing to happen would be to give Kawhi an extra 10 minutes a game, and play Jackson for 18 minutes as a SF and maybe a few as a smallball 4 in some cases.
