I remember reading that he was married to Eva in a Catholic ceremony. And France has historically been Catholic, so I guess that Roman Catholicism would be a safe bet.

"Non religious" is probably closer to 50% if not more, given the number of people who got christened "by tradition" but don't know anything about religion.
