Im surprised he is not injured more often.
He goes to the basket so often against much larger men and he runs like a jet. Sprinters are always worried about hams, and Parker is a sprinter.
Pretty sure its nothing serious. Pretty funny though, how the some of the people that were overreacting to Manu being pulled vs the Wizard are getting butthurt about this.

Show me where I ever did that? I made a point of saying I don't care what RJ's sexual preference was. So, yeah, you're the bigot. Try and defend it any way you want to, but you ARE the thing you complain about. You just think your brand of bigotry is superior to the other people's. Listen to your tone... you actually believe you're superior because of being from Cali. Like people who believe they're superior because of their skin. Or their sexual orientation. Or anything else.

Tony wasn't limping when he walked off the court. Gave up one of the league's best back up point guards to draft Leonard. The club's penchant for trying to hang with 12 or 13 on the roster instead of one or two more may bite us in the butt. Let us hope not.

All good GSH, my first comment was in response to anyone who generalized, which you did not.
I also had to brush up on his previous thread because I was missing the inside jokes/jabs that were directed at him :lol
My 2nd comment was directed at Roy. Whether he was being sarcastic or not, its annoying (and sadly predictable) that someone starts a thread like this in response to a player injury.

I don't like to start a bunch of new threads, so I'll give this thread more respect than it deserves and throw it in here. It's actually sort of on the topic of the OP, sarcastic or not.
It sounded like Tony just had some tightness in his calf, and Pop isn't taking any chances. He's doing everything possible in this short season to make sure everyone is healthy for the playoffs.
And I had been thinking before the game, when they were talking about Rubio being out for the season - "You know, Pop is just about 2 or 3 injuries away from being recognized around the league as a genius." Not on our team, but on a few teams like OKC, Chicago, and Miami. There are so many season-ending injuries around the league, and it could really determine a lot of the outcomes in the postseason. I'm not wishing injuries on anybody. But if any of those teams are unlucky in these last few weeks, and the Spurs do wind up 100% healthy for the playoffs, you're going to hear and read a lot of commentaries about how Pop saw it coming and did the smart thing from the beginning of the season.

All this talk about needing another big or more specifically a 4 is valid and all, but I was beginning to fear for our PG/play making position. When TJ decided to call it quits, I felt like our need for another PG was equally important to our search for front court depth. I should be more concerned about Parker's injury but recent weeks have been a wonderful time for us Spurs fans.
First, trading RJ for Stephen Jackson means that in addition to the obvious benefits, (addition by subtraction, nostalgia of having Jack back, the reputation that he brings etc), we get a player who has above average play making. 2nd, the signing of Patty Mills is necessary and has the potential to be a nice pay out. 3rd, if we can secure a guy like Boris Diaw, then we further improve the passing ability of our team. Compare that to just a few weeks ago when TJ and Manu were injured and our only reliable play maker with Parker with a dash of Duncan and a sprinkle of Splitter.
Hopefully I'm not getting ahead of myself about Diaw though, sucks to be Golden State and Hickson right now (who was actually with the Warrior team when Portland claimed him lol.)

I REALLY wanted the Spurs to pick up another PG. I wasn't too thrilled about Mills, because I had this vision of our second unit becoming the All Perimeter Team. But a lot of people here that really know the game think he'll fit well, so I'm getting pretty excited to see him in a uniform.
None of the available (and affordable) big men were perfect. But I do think that Diaw could be an upgrade to the roster, and I'm not one of the all-or-nothing crowd. Any upgrade is an upgrade, and a better shot at the post-season. Being the frontrunner means nothing, until he signs, but I'm also excited about that possibility.
Jackson? I always said that his game would be a big plus, but I worried about the attitude stuff. But he's said all the right stuff, and in the post-game tonight he was like a changed man. A lot of people said he would be different if he got back here. They were right, and I'm happy to say that I was wrong. This team is already MUCH better for getting rid of RJ and bringing in Jackson.
I hope I'm not kidding myself, but I'm really starting to think we could make some noise, especially if we sign Diaw. But we would have to have everyone healthy. And I really do think that Pop has been very crafty with the way he's handled minutes and every little hint of injury. I guess we'll see, but there are an awful lot of other teams missing key players.
btw- I'm glad I didn't offend you with some offhand comment to a buttcheek like the OP. That honestly would have bothered me.

Agreed on Mills because I don't know too much about him. Just that he played for the Blazers and was a star for his national team. But with the positive response from some notable posters, we can be optimistic about Mills. At worse, he should at least be able to bring up the ball and makes shots.
I mentioned this in another thread but each day that passes, my confidence and belief in this team grows. I think we have a shot at making a run at the title. Quite the contrast from my feelings during the off-season.
Don't worry about the comments, no apologies necessary. I sensed there was something deeper and comical because everyone was attacking the OP the same way lol. Also, I am from California.. so I'm quite used to how untitled and snobby we can be :lol.
