Kind of an off the wall question but I was looking at the Spurs payroll, and I was wondering who if anyone we should use the amnesty on this summer now that Jefferson is gone? While the playoffs will play a big part in determining who is worth what I can't see use amnestying Parker or Ginobili for obvious reasons. Duncan will be resigned. I am not sure if we are allowed to amnesty Jackson but if he has a role in getting us deep into the playoffs it might not be so bad to keep him on one more year with that bloated contract. Atleast it would be off the books for 2013 free agency. Splitter is certainly underpayed. Green and Neal are free agents. The only player who kind of makes sense in Bonner, but I am not sure how 3 million off the books makes a huge difference. And we would need a replacement for him before we can do that. So what do you guys think?

It all depends on the postseason. I personally think that if Bonner stinks it up, he is the target.

In theory, if Diaw and Lorbek get aboard, Bonner is gone. Especially if, as xellos said, he sucks in the playoffs as always.

The Spurs aren't using the amnesty. It costs Peter Holt money.

I don't think Jack can be amnestied. Bonner is the only player it makes sense to amnesty, and we all know that isn't happening.

Didnt Neal sign a 3 yr contract? This isnt the first thread were Ive heard people say hell be a FA this off-season but I couldve sworn he was signed for three years.

Neal signed a 3 year contract. He won't be a FA this summer.

Green will be a restricted FA this summer.
