16 quality minutes that won't wow the box score but they were effective minutes, nonetheless. Quality pickup, guys. I'm really excited about our team right now...just stay healthy please!

He's going to prove to be a version of McDyess with plenty of gas in the tank....that's good.

Yes, why not? Why bitch and nit-pick instead of celebrate with fellow Spurs fans? Does every little thing always have to be an issue with some people here?

McDyess was too thin to guard the likes of Randolph etc. I think it would benefit us more if Diaw didn't lose too much weight.
He wasn't too thin. He was just too old and was too spent to do anything to stop him. We need Diaw in shape.

Well, counting yours, this makes 6 on the first page alone. It just seems a little...excessive and cluttered.
But who cares I guess? We were all cherries with pie in our pockets on our 6th jump at one point afterall.

Randolph is a legit 300 and Bynum 315, a guy coming in at 255 won't stand a chance
Stop exaggerating. Randolph is listed at 260 and I just checked with a Grizzlies board and they say he's 270 TOPS.

As far as opening nights go I am very happy with Boris. No practice, rusty & against a rival? He showed plenty of appealing traits in that regard.

Diaw has started 461 games (233W and 228L) in his NBA career. You don't do that without having some qualities. He has for sure some flaws but he is a good player.

Manu said Tony ran the Spurs offense with the French team so that Boris already knows a lot of the Spurs plays. Hopefully that's true and makes the transition easier for Boris than it would the average player coming to the Spurs.

Dice wasn't as good as he could have been. But what hurt him more is that Randolph got hot feasting on Bonner/Blair.

Some nice quotes from Diaw:
JMcDonald_SAEN Diaw said he was used to the Spurs' offensive sets. With Parker at the helm, French national team runs many of them.

JMcDonald_SAEN Diaw: "It was exactly the way I was thinking. That unselfishness, it’s the kind of basketball I like to play.”
