Yeah, only the best defensive team since the 2004 Spurs.
We need a stats thread on how good the Spurs have been since Jackson and Diaw joined.. I know it hasn't been much but the Spurs have looked great on defense.

How in the world did that happen?
Leonard must have had 8 strips on guys just trying to dribble right through him.
The sixers played extraordinarily selfish. If this is the type of team Chicago and Miami have been feasting on the East is weak.
Wacked out game. Ill take it.

Dentmon for backup PG
Australia can keep mills
Huh? What exactly are you seeing in Dentmon to make you say that?

cant believe spurs are winning/blowing teams out without a real center or defensive presence
people talk about how good okc/miamis backcourt is
but i doubt either of those teams could win as much as san antonio if they had a backcourt of bonner/blair
spurs wings are just to good

You ever heard of Andre Iguodala? He's their best defender and one of the top defenders in the league. He didn't play tonight.

Not meaning to be negative but the sixers looked extraordinarily bad. Missed easy shots right at the rim. Easy dunks after offensive rebounds were there with one little pass and the rebounder goes right back up after holding it and gets stripped (thank you Mr. Leonard)
I might be a bit upset if I were Collins.
And Leonard (the 20 year old rookie) directing Green into the front court at the end of the game in order not to get the 8 second call to run out the clock... Just weird.

Imagine if the Spurs could use the Sixers defensive gameplan.

Sixers shoot bad, not a good defensive effort, sixers fault.

Those yahoo guys love their pranks. They've done stuff like that before. :lol

I don't think it was the Yahoo guys who did that. Sean and Bill were talking about it after the third quarter that someone put that in the Spurs' official statement and Sean may or may not had something to do with it.

Wow what an amazing stretch of games recently. Especially how we won 3 games in 3 days each day with a different key player missing, we held them to 76 points (76er's) and we held them to 27 points in the second half.
I think the team is coming along pretty damn good by this point. That Jefferson trade was great

So when is Mills going to be cleared to play? This is getting a bit ridiculous waiting this long for him. He's missed out on some good chances for court time already.

I read it's a VISA issue, but how long does that usually take?
When did his season end in China? Couldn't he have gotten this done as soon as he finished up in China?

No because he needed a contract to prove he had a job. It can be fast tracked to a week or two.

No because he needed a contract to prove he had a job. It can be fast tracked to a week or two.
So he had to sign first and be on a team before you could start the process. Thanks for the info. I thought you could actually get a work VISA and then get a job after?

Spurs playing defense. It can't be possible.
Why are people going on about DeJuan's dunk? Do you guys not watch other teams. Every team has players that do that every game. Weird. Anyway...
Defense was pretty damn impressive. You just can't underestimate the activity, positioning and smarts that both Buckets and Diaw are bringing at the moment. I didn't know Diaw had that in him. It's also extremely nice to see feet moving laterally, hands up at all times and a willingness to get a little physical. Stark contrast to RJ.
Thought Parker went about it quite nicely, Green was solid again, Buckets had a flashback game, some creativity but a bunch of TO's and cold shooting. The big men are going to have to realise he is an amazing interior passer, at the moment Tim is the only one catching those - I except Tiago to be good with it.
On to the next one, I've gotta say my confidence is growing. 3 in 3 is nice, particularly when 2 of them are against solid teams and the big 3 getting some rest, no Tiago, no Neal and intergating new parts.

I guess I wasn't paying attention tonight, but just noticed that Kawhi was wearing a knee support:

Wowser Bonner started in place of Diaw! Looks like when Duncan retires the team will rebuild around Bonner as the starting PF and defensive anchor.
