come on man, you really believe this shit? kobe forced that aweful shot when matt barnes and sessions were open beyond the arc which resulted in a fastbreak putting the grizz up by double digits.

if it wasnt for those stupid laker fans chanting kobe im willing to bet kobe's ass would stay on that bench until the end of regulation.

I dont know why exactly he did it. But to say he was "benched" is stretching it ... Kobe hadnt rested he wa sobviously frustrated maybe MB wanted to calm his ass down. Really it doesnt matter why I thought he should of done it earlier ... he really doesnt manage rotations well at all. Should of pulled Kobe & Bynum after we tied game. they BOTH needed some rest.

The commentators were acting like this was a disciplinary thing for hitting the chair.

Are they sure it had nothing to do with him dribbling the ball for 20 seconds and settling for a 18 foot fadeaway over a defender from the baseline? Can't believe they ignored that.

How the hell is any coach supposed to manage rotations with the Lakers roster? Outside Gasol, Drew, Savior, and Kirby, it's absolute shit. You basically have to substitute by feel game-to-game since you can't count on any one bench player giving you a solid 10-20 minutes.

No argument there, MB is a horrible rotation coach even during his stint in Cleveland.

Tony Allen was all up in his asshole

Im beginning to suspect that Brown possibly benched Kobe because he wasn't also playing defense and was taking Tony Allen for granted.

Juicy details tomorrow.

Lakers just need someone that can score. Thats pretty much it.

Memphis Bench scoring: 41 points
Lakers Bench: 9 points

System players who plays by the book (Troy, Blake, Mc Roberts) are ok, but sometimes you just need a motherfucker who can score when the other options are have dried up.

Reason why Kobe was benched

08:15 AM ET 03.26 | Left up to Sunday's Staples Center crowd, Kobe Bryant would have finished the game. Yet, there Bryant sat on the bench with 5:45 remaining in the game, shortly after the Lakers' star punched the bench in frustration during a timeout and then leaving the Lakers' huddle while coaches were diagramming a play. When a reporter asked if it was correct to assume he was upset over the benching, Bryant said "of course I was. That's an astute observation." But Bryant refused to criticize [Mike Brown]. "It's his decision to make. He's the coach. If you guys are looking for a story, I'm not going to contribute to it," Bryant said. ... "I had his back the whole season. I can't start doing something crazy now. It would make no sense."
