I'm not sure if this was caught on camera last night, but it was evident at the game if you were paying attention.

A couple of times -- once when Tony passed to Blair for an easy two, and once when Blair (I think) had an assist to Tony -- when they ran back down the court, they did not acknowledge each other in any way.

Normally, I wouldn't think anything of it. But when Jackson or Manu assisted on a Blair score, he made sure to "high 5" those guys. But on one occasion in particular, Blair scored on a TP assist, and when he ran downcourt RIGHT NEXT TO Tony, they did not "high 5" or anything. It's like they went out of their way to ignore each other.

Maybe they were too focused on transition defense, which would be a good thing. But anyway, I'm curious if anyone else noticed this last night, or if these two have a history of animosity.

I doubt it too. I don't expect players to high 5 after every made bucket, but after seeing Blair do so a few times with Manu and Jackson, it seemed weird that he ran right by Parker as I described. If no one else noticed, then it's likely a non-issue, which is fine with me.

I wouldn't completely dismiss it. There are things that go on in lockerrooms --or outside them--that sometimes can damage the unity of a team.

If Tony was pushing for Diaw, Blair might well have thought there was some lack of support for him on Tony's part.

Tony was eating Whataburger in front of Blair and he didn't offer to even share the fries.

it was kind of weird that no one on the bench was that excited about Blair's dunk...usually guys get on their feet when someone slams it home.

not to mention Blair has been pretty emotional...I remember the first practice interview this year he sounded quite bitter towards Pop not playing him in the playoffs. whatever, he's been playing well...let him have an attitude/chip on his shoulder.

The bench wasn't all that much more excited about Manu's dunk. Polite applause and someone stood up.

All of the old guard guys are like that. Manu, Tony, Tim and Bonner are not into the rah rah stuff. It reminds me of Spurs fans saying that there are not statement games anymore. the young guys are not the same way. I first noticed it last year with Neal because Neal demanded for low 5s on free throws and they looked at him like he was an alien.

Its just the way they are. They act like they have been there before because they have. The young guys are still living it up. Its actually a good mix and i have watched the old guard softening on the stance. thats one reason why I love Jax on theteam because he still gets into the camaraderie.

Its like they say with dogs, the best way to get an old dog to get some pep inhis step is to get a puppy.

I remember he was dating this really hot girl named Ashley Logan...but after reading some of Blair's tweets over the last few months leads me to believe she dumped him.....just a guess.

Did anybody notice that when Tim got the tech everybody was chuckling, but Mike Budenholzer was checking his watch? Did he just want to know what time it was or there was something else there?

Seriously, this is the nice part of a weak San Antonio media: No Laker-style he-said, she-said articles.
