Donte Greene made a 3-point jumper to cut the San Antonio Spurs’ lead over the Sacramento Kings to 99-96 with 5:11 left in the game last night. After trading empty possessions with the Kings, San Antonio would score on five of their next six possessions in 2:45 of game time to seal the victory. Below, I’ll show you exactly how it went down.

Possession 1 (Stephen Jackson fast break lay-up, 1-1)

The first basket was the easiest of the bunch. Tim Duncan grabs the rebound and makes an outlet pass to get Tony Parker out in transition. Parker pushes the ball up the court and finds a streaking Stephen Jackson on the wing, who lays it in. The Spurs stretch their lead from three back to five.

Funny watching the hapless kings' defense run in circles not knowing what the hell to do while the spurs more disciplined veterans just carve them to pieces.

Starting to see how big of an upgrade Jackson is out there (over Dick). He's miles ahead of Jefferson in bball IQ and runs the breaks much more fluidly. Better passer and finisher. This is not the same player I saw on the bobcats who routinely forced 10 bad shots a night. As such he's a great small ball PF in the spurs system where Jefferson was horrible.

Looks like a great closing lineup.

I assume that you're familiar with Sebastian Pruiti. For those that aren't, here's a recent post with a section on Leonard:

Thanks for posting! I was hearing Sean go on and on during the broadcast how the pick n roll was just destroying them. So it's cool to see the actual breakdown of the whole thing.
