Is anyone else already excited about George Hill's return to San Antonio on Saturday? I AM!!! I want to see Kawhi gaurd George. I still like our trade, but this will be interesting to watch. I think the crowd will receive him well. What do you think?

Kawhi is going to destroy him.

We definitely made the right trade, though I'd still like to have Hill on the team. Even as stacked our roster already is, Hill as backup pg would be great.

I don't see why the crowd wouldn't receive him well.

I won't attend this game, but I wish the fans would boo the shit out if him. I would.

George is, and always will be, a favorite son of the Spurs and of San Antonio.

It's too bad things didn't work out for him, but using his as trade bait to get EXACTLY the player this team has long needed, was brilliant.

I wish Hill nothing but success in Indy.

Why would people boo him?

He will be treated well.

I love that trade now though!

He blew it against Memphis, but I hope he has a GREAT game against us (with the Spurs still winning obv). Lol being lauded as Pop's favorite player and being taught about a family culture then being traded away like trash. I'm happy with Kawhi, but this kid will have a chip on his shoulder against the Spurs for the rest of his life :lol

He worried too much about hitting up the local high school girls:lol

I was a fan of his game until last season. I just don't want to reminded of that poor playoff series against the Grizz, and air balling a wide open 3.

Wish George well, but the Spurs definitely got a better player overall in Kawai.

I'll do that trade again 7 days out of 7.

I'm sure Hill will be shown lots of love from the crowd and rightly so. Obviously we made the right trade, and tbh I think Kawhi's play has done a lot to erase George from Spurfan's mind pretty quickly.

03-29-2012, 02:20 PM
uh if by like trash you mean to his hometown team then hyeah...

what does that even mean? :lol he was hyped up like a favorite son but his real worth to this team was trade bait, nothing more. still fun to watch though.

I couldn't stand that airball 3 from George. I think the Spurs would have had a chance if he hit it or even at least hit rim. It was hard to get good looks all series and he had one of the best looks and airballed it.

I agree that he was one of the players that disappeared in the playoffs last year.. for that reason alone, I'm glad he is gone. He was a fun regular season player to have on our team though. I remember when he stole the ball from kobe and took it all the way for the slam. I wish him well, and look forward to seeing the game on Saturday.

I would cheer for him. Hopefully the announcer gives him a good intro wen he comes on the court. He was one of my favorite players. I wish the spurs can somehow bring him back in the future. I would never forget wen him and kobe started trash talking each other. Hopefully he plays good but the spurs still winning the game.

Is there a former Spur that wouldn't get a good reception from the fans? I honestly can't think of anyone.

George Hill: 15.5 PER, 116 Offensive Rating, 103 Defensive Rating, .156 WS/48

Kawhi Leon: 17.0 PER, 119 Offensive Rating, 101 Defensive Rating, .169 WS/48

And that's comparing a rookie Leonard to a 4th year NBA player.

If we look at Hill's rookie year, it's not even close -

GHill Rookie: 11.6 PER, 101 Offensive Rating, 104 Defensive Rating, .080 WS/48

Rodman? His comments about Pop and DRob in his book were far from complimentary.

I'll be at the game Saturday and I will cheer for him when he enters the game. He played well enough during his time here that he deserves our appreciation. We don't beat the Mavs in 2010 without him.

Yeah because we need our best player this year hurt because you are a Manu fan! I swear this board is full of idiots a times :wow. Idiots seem to root for a player and not a whole team, Parker fans hate Manu and Manu fans hate Parker, you guys are some idiots if you ask me. I won't hold that back either, you guys are some flat out damn clowns (Ducks too etc.).

YEP I FULLY agree! Without him in 010 we do not beat our hated Rivals! He helped there alot and I will not forget that! I appreciate him for that.

TBH, I don't think it's bad to cheer player first rather than team first. What's bad is they want the other guy hurt... and the other guy is a guy on our fucking team. And he's our MVP come playoff time. We win WITH MANU, we lose WITH MANU.

Yeah I know I got his jersey as a present around Easter time, I was a big fan. But I remember when he left there was a lot of backlash or something (Don't remember why) I remember crying :lol But A lot of people didn't like the way he left I think. Minds kinda fuzzy about it but I know it wasn't a pleasant departure

I've seen a few of his games. He's improved his passing and dribble. He wears a double shoulder harness. Maybe Indiana felt he needed to wear one for upper body support.
