Tim Duncan answers fans questions in part one of this edition of Spurs Mailbag.

Mindy Inouye
Location: Los Angeles
Question: What's your plan after you're done playing basketball? Coaching job with the Spurs maybe?

Tim Duncan: I don't know what I'm going to do after basketball, thus far. I've got a couple more years to play, and I'm more focused on that than worrying about what I've got to do after basketball. I love messing with cars, so I assume I'm going to do something with that at some point.

Matt Martinez
Location: Crystal City, TX
Question: What's your favorite thing to do when you're not playing basketball?

TD: When I'm not playing basketball I'm usually hanging out with my kids, so it's whatever their favorite thing is to do. That's usually running around outside or playing a game or watching a show with them, whatever it may be.

John
Location: Mississippi
Question: How important has it been for you to have one head coach your entire career? Has your relationship with Pop changed over the years from when you first came into the league?

TD: My relationship with Pop has evolved over the years, but it's been unbelievable. It's been a great honor to have been with just one coach, some guys go through two, three, four coaches within a couple year span, and the stability of having one coach throughout a career is a great thing.

Ondrej
Location: Pennsylvania
Question: How did being a swimmer when you were young help your basketball game?

TD: Swimming is such an individual sport, and you have to learn how to motivate and push yourself when you're in the water by yourself, so I think that's helped a lot in basketball. You're out here and you have to work on your game when people aren't around, so I have that motivation and the ability to do that already.

From Timmy's answers I can see there is no way he will play for other teams after this season. the man enjoys the stability of it

I've been having a sneaking suspicion of late that if we won #5, Tim might hang it up. Sounds like he has no plans to do that...

The rest of the interview was great, but that was the best part.

He really thought he could end up as the #2 draft pick? He is too humble ...
