"Miami is definitely a title contender. For sure," Terry told FOX Sports Florida before Dallas' 106-85 loss at AmericanAirlines Arena about his interest. "(Team president) Pat Riley is a great guy and what he's done with the organization is tremendous.

"No question, they need a veteran shooter, a guy who can score besides LeBron (James) and (Dwyane Wade), and they know they can count on. I'm a guy that's been in this league 13 years, (averaging) 15 points a night, easy. Off the bench or the starting lineup, it doesn't matter. So I think I'd be an asset to them."

"My main goal was to come back and retire a Maverick," Terry said. "After no extension this past offseason, I figure it may be time for me to move on. But you never know… I would love to (continue) in a Maverick uniform, don't get me wrong. But we'll see what happens… They said they want me back. But you can say all you want, you got to show me. Like Jerry Maguire said, 'Show me the money."

Sure I bet he's interested, that's an interesting idea after all. Now is he actually thinking " alright gotta go to the heat next year" obviously not. Just another dumb story.

Exactly.

Everyone knows he thinks this way. He knows that everyone knows he thinks this way.

Why be mad when he says it out loud? And he did say he would love to stay with the Mavs.

Cuban did this team dirty.

This.

Cuban has basically let everyone know that he doesn't give a shit about his own players that won him a championship, just as long as they can be used nicely as pawns to get Howard/Williams next summer

Don't blame Jet

How can anyone be pissed at Terry? Dallas has made it clear they're not bringing him back. It's the right move too, since they'll probably land Deron Williams. I hate the double standard for owners/GM vs players when it comes to the NBA being a business.

Not really. There is no Howard this summer.

Terry is the epitome of a tool.

:lol if he wants to get paid, Miami is the last place he'd be looking. I honestly don't care where he goes, and i really would rather the Mavs not keep him unless he is okay with a 20 minutes a night bench role.

He helped us ring, dropped the coldest 3 pointer in Finals history right in Lebron's face, and will always be a great Mav. But he's not worth giving any sizable amount of money to, nor worth keeping if he thinks his role won't be reduced

1-10 shooting, 3 turnovers and complete lack of defense...

...Terry sure showed the Heat how valuable he is.

I'm sure he is interested in joining the Heat, he is smart enough to realize the Mavs prob won't winning again while he is playing so join to heat or a good team

Jet should've dealt with this like Chandler did. Keep your mouth shut until the end of the season.

Jet should've dealt with this like Chandler did. Keep your mouth shut until the end of the season.

Chandler said he is not surprised by the early slide. ‘Honestly, I kind of saw it coming because when you put a team in a situation where you say, ‘You’re the defending champions, but we’re not necessarily trying to repeat,’

I think bullfan1000 was talking about last season but even then he's wrong because Chandler had no idea at the time the Mavs were not gonna try and keep him. Chandler was the first domino to fall and after that is when everybody realized Cuban was just waiting for Deron Williams/Dwight Howard
