Big Market, Big media coverage influence you much?

Got any small market picks? Or can you only be a choke artist when you have above average coverage?

No mention of Kenyon Martin? Amare Stoudemire? Andrew Bynum? Josh or JR Smith... Or any of the 50 players that are eating their way out of the league at any given time?

I mean you have to be REALLY unlucky to never make it out of the first round (not counting the Rockets run where he was injured).

Jackson & Diaw quit and killed their coach and Pop signed 'em nonetheless.

I love my small market. I've gotten to see 3 finals clinching games in person, and enjoy 15 consecutive winning seasons for 1/4 the price of doing so in a big market.

I don't like the takes of people that watch the show instead of watching the game.

The only person that is "Mentally Weak" on your list is Vince Young...

I wouldn't call Matt Bonner an athlete.

Those are the most notable ones, not the most mentally weak. They are mentally weak in very visible situations, other athletes fold long before they ever get there (Bobcats come to mind).

Tell me I was lying

None of the things he did were mentally weak.

-Demanding a trade because the team made no effort to improve for 3 seasons was a great business move. Wanting a winner makes him mentally weak? Look what Kobe's "crying" got the Lakers. That's one point of yours proven wrong...

-"Fails in big moments." He's failed in some, but it had nothing to do with mental weakness. If anything it had to do with stubborn will. Mental weakness is being passive-aggressive in the NBA Finals when your team needs you. 2 down...

-"quits in a playoff game." Some creedence here, but the series was over once Tim Thomas hit that 3 in Game 6. Also, not nearly as egregious as LeBron quitting in a 32-point home loss to the Celtics in a pivotal Game 5. I know, I know, you're one of 2 people to think he didn't--but that's a stupid opinion that one day you'll own up to.

-"Cries to a wife yada yada yada." The money is no issue when you're as rich as Kobe is. Same situation with Tiger Woods. Ragging on a guy because he wants his children to be raised in a stable and healthy household is a new low...even for you.

Being mentally weak isn't just being too passive. If you are so mentally weak that you can't stomach the thought of winning if you aren't shinning, you are weak.

Lebron is a weak minded person on one end of the spectrum; Kobe is firmly planted on the other end.

:lmao wanting a stable household. You can want that without being mentally weak and crying, no? Also the rape suggested otherwise.

You misunderstand the term "mentally weak". Having a short temper isn't mentally weak. Mentally weak is when you cannot perform because of the situation, like how Odom's entire self image was ruptured like a placenta when he was hauled off to big D, or when an athlete otherwise kicks ass except under pressure situations. Artest was big for LA during their last run, I wouldn't call that mentally weak. He's a fucking nutcase, sure, but good to have on your team if you can harness that shit.

if your definition of mentally weak is shying away when the pressure is on then that is not Romo. If he was a bit more passive like Lebron was in the finals we probably would have won that Jets game because the wouldn't have done that stupid hero ball bullshit that caused him to fumble in that broken play.

he is not mentally weak he's just makes stupid plays when he tries to force it like fuck...kerby.

HarlemHeat37

Players like Lebron, Karl Malone, etc are mentally weak on the superstar spectrum, but overall, there are many players that fold before they even reach the Finals(as DMC said), or fold for relatively minor reasons..

Odom, Vince Young, Ryan Leaf, etc, are better examples IMO..
