MY vote

1. Bill Curley for Sean Elliott - Getting Sean back set up the Spurs to win their first title

2. Alvin Robertson for Terry Cummins - took all the pressure off of a young David Robinson

3. 1st round pick for Nazr Mohammad - We got a championship out of it.

4. George Hill for Kwami Leonard - Leonard plays a need position

5. Rodman for Will Purdue - lost cancer and got the third tower in our first championship. Also set up our 97 shit season that got us Duncan.

6. Maurice Cheeks for Rod Strickland - Cheeks didn't want to be here and Strickland had serious talent.

I really liked it when we traded Bruce, Thomas, and Oberto for Richard Jefferson.

Rights of Scola for Vaginalis and a 2nd round pick.

We simply got the best greek PG ever in exchange of average PF.

Best. Trade. Ever.

It might turn out that way if we ring this year. One of the downstream consequences of this trade was getting Jack back.

The Hill trade has my vote based on Leonard alone. And we can't know the full value of the trade until we see what becomes of Lorbek and Bertrans.

Seriously? Did Terry Cummings turn into a Dodge Ram Turbo engine?

And we traded Malik Rose (a fan favorite) for Nazr, not just a 1st Rnd pick. Yes, Nazr got us a ring, but then he bolted town for more money.

And Kwami? Really? You don't even know how to pronounce a CURRENT Spurs name? So why are you starting threads again?

Not really a trade but the purchase of George Gervin's contract from the Squires in 1974

The Kwami Leonard trade was definitely the best ever.

It was Malik, 2 first rounders, 3-4M cash for Nazr. And Isaiah picked some good players with the picks. Malik was always effective against the Mavs, Nazr didn't help that much in 05 and Malik was missed in 06. His contract was way too long though.

Is this a joke? Will Perdue played 86 minutes in 99 playoffs, what kind of 3rd tower was he? We could get much more in return of Rodman.

The departure of Rodman was its own reward. There's just not any reason to try to have to embellish it.

No the Spurs couldn't. Rodman's constant tantrum in the 95 playoffs scared everyone but Chicago off. It looks bad in hindsight, but there was no way the Spurs could bring him back after that garbage and he was viewed as an enormous cancer at the time.

Terry in his first year took all the offensive pressure off of Robinson and he was a 20 pt per game scorer. So if you wish to call him a dodge ram go ahead.

Mychal Thompson for Frank Brickowski in 1987. The negative is that it helped the Lakers win back to back in 87 and 88 with a legit backup big to spell an older Kareem. The positive is that it allowed the Spurs to stink it up in 87, and win the 1987 draft lottery for the rights to draft David Robinson.
