Sigh...
They need a GOOD slot receiver so badly. The also need a replacement at TE badly as well.
Texans hardly ever use the slot WR, they use tight ends. They should just move Casey back to TE, and get them a veteren FB.

Yeah I know Johnson a slot/deep wide out, but it just seems like they need an intermediate wide out who can get those 7 yards on 3rd and long.
I would've traded Tate for a stud wide out or top pick my self, but I've been told I'm crazy for that.

After such a badass first round, NE was reaching like crazy today. Don't get it. Yesterday they buck the trend of trading down by trading up twice. Today they bunk their trend of always going for value and draft 5-7th round guys way too early.
At least they did the right thing in Round 1. Don't know why they took that safety so early... someone in the organization must have really liked him.

Wow...Smith and Kubiak love the B1G.
Good draft overall. I would have preferred a couple of names you know at receiver but the ones they got are interesting and defensive picks and the OL depth more than make up for it. I think Brooks and Jones can help out right away on the line. Crick is a solid value with that last 4th and the Aggie kicker is a Groza Award winner, so he's a good PK prospect with that 5th.

He's a safety who never played on a team without any good safeties. I don't think he was ever even in the two deep in his entire career. He was strictly a special teams player. Shocking pick imo.

I'm actually very happy with the Cardinals' draft. Three linemen, including two likely immediate rotation players, both with 2nd-round measurables and upside, and a high impact wide receiver. I like Fleming as a converted FS where he can play with the field in front of him.
One gripe is they should have taken Burfict at 177. For as much as I bag on him, the local college product one mocked as a top-20 pick who plays a position of need would have made a lot of sense. Probably not worth the headache, but as a special teams player and situational ILB, I'm not sure there's a better value upside at the position that the Cardinals could have had.

Or Reiff, forgot about him. :lol Browns ignoring their terrible OL
Eh. Cleveland's OL isn't terrible. They have two first-round picks on the OL already, both of whom are good players (JT is outstanding). They're a decent RT away from having a pretty good unit.
They really need a QB. McCoy is pretty much a white Charlie Batch, tbh. Career backup thrust into a starting role early by a team with a lack of other viable options. No amount of "weapons" or first-round OL make him anything else.
Weeden's age doesn't bother me. He isn't a RB. If he's good and stays healthy he still play ten years. I'm not even saying he will be good, just that his age isn't an issue, imo. If he can play, he can play. If he can't, he can't. That's it.
Weeden actually bears a somewhat striking resemblance to the doughy, weak-chinned Randy Lerner. I frankly never envisioned the Browns drafting a guy who looks like their owner, least of all in the first round. (Randy might have been driving the bus on this pick too, imo.)

Although I like Weeden's chances in the pros better than Colt's, it's still probably not going to lead to a Super Bowl any time soon.
