No surprise and not particularly meaningful, but just for the record...

He was already back playing for the Toros last Friday.

His 10 days contract was going to expire tonight. It's a strange move to end it few hours before it.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Dentmon signing with another NBA team today. RU reported that at least another team was interested in Dentmon and Dentmon picked Spurs. The release could be a courtesy move from Spurs to free him for the other team.

He is doing well in the D-League

Wish him the best

For the record, i just saw that Jamario Moon is playing in the D-League. Even though he isn't anything special, I am surprised he couldn't get a contrat in the NBA this season. He is not bad for a backup swingman.

I don't know if it's related but Joseph seems to play way better with the Toros when Dentmon isn't playing.

Yeah, I think the main thing you can read into it is that the Spurs are committed to their 1st round pick getting minutes.

If thats the case, I hope Dentmon latches on with another team.

Gotta take the sample size in context. Don't know how many games they've played together/apart, but I'm sure the amount of games is miniscule.

dentmon has shown more in his limited charity minutes than what joseph has shown all season

not sure about that,
While Joseph is not ready for prime time there have been moments where he looked like an NBA player,
Dentmon- don't really see it

Dentmon didn't pick the spurs, the spurs picked him. I believe Toronto was interested in him and he would have went but the spurs called him up before Toronto did.

How can you guys compare Dentmon with Joseph ? Joseph is a 20 year-old rookie. Dentmon turns 27 this year and played in the NBA for the 1st time this season.

Not every young PG is Kyrie Irving, especially really late picks. Give Joseph some time.

More D-League biz: I'm told Raptors lining up PG Justin Dentmon for callup by week's end. Dentmon back w/Austin Toros after brief Spurs look

Good. Dentmon out of Austin is good for Joseph's development.

Yep, good news for Joseph even if the D-League season is almost done.

Speaking of the Toros, they have just added Flip Murray. He will be needed if Cavs keep Hudson.

That's a shame
He showed such promise in 05. He was like the original Danny Green

Except the local version. Which only made it that much sweeter.

dont give a shit about age man, if ur not good enough to contribute straight away then u have no business on this team, which is in winning mode now, we have no time to be playing daddy waiting for players to improve...
