The most dangerous part about the play was the way Lebron reacted to the contact. When you're talking about two of the fastest guys in the league running around in the open court there's not a lot of time to think, so I think the play was more instinctive than malicious, but it's still a stupid one to make. When you've got a guy like Lebron whose already at the free throw with the ball in hand and you're still a step behind you just have to let that go because as the replay shows there's really no way to make a play on the ball from that point and doing anything else is risky both from the standpoint of an opponent's safety and possible disciplinary action.
