I played high school football, ran track, played in the city flag football league until last year. Grew up listening to Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzell, Johnny Cash. Then here came them old blues and rock & roll. All of that is American made. I can't imagine a life without those things.

No way I'd want to grow up in the Middle East. What a fucked existence that would be. I wonder how many blacks would want to return to Africa? While slavery was absolutely terrible/awful/horrendous those who came later because of it did make out. What are Randy Moss, The Temptations. Wesley Snipes, Booker T doing if they lived in Nigeria?

Here we have everything, so many ways to keep your mind off blowing things up and 72 virgins (I'd prefer experienced women myself). Just today, a few hours of listening to some vintage Alabama blues from the 20's/30's. Checked out what The NFL Network had to say, read a couple chapters in one of the books I'm reading by Lee Child. Hit the weights with Jimi Hendrix keeping me company.

What do we need that we don't have? It does amaze me that Japan actually thought they could kick our ass.....hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only in America...

From what I understand, the widely covered song, Cocaine Blues is not the one that Luke Jordan did. According to Wikipedia, Jordan's song was called, "Cocaine" or "Simple Wild About My Good Cocaine". Apparently, Jordan was wrongly credited for the song on Dave Van Ronk's record.

As we all know music is all about iufluenses, so and so heard so and so and on and on. It's a hand me down thing. "House of the Rising Sun" was first recorded in 1928 by Texas Alexander, A different version with the same title in 1933 by appalachian banjo picker Clarence Ashley. The most famous recording by The Animals. Stagolee, Stack O' Lee, Staggerlee another tune played by many with Lloyd Price having the most famous version. The first recordings with different versions were recorded by Ma Rainey, Harvey Hull and Long Cleve Reed, Mississippi John Hurt. John Henry..another tune with various versions on the theme.

Luke Jordan is the daddy of the "Cocaine Blues", he was the influense, he was the one that put Cocaine on record. He planted the seed. It's all about influenses.

Trust me it would take me all of 30 seconds to look over them and figure out what was being said if I came across some other abuser. I've always done it that way and nobody has ever mentioned it until I landed here. I've had tons of long page after page threads talking track, football, blues, literarature with nobody too concerned with ellipsis. Sine it's never been mentioned. Since it is a big deal here I'm done using them. See how easy that was?
