Good find lefty. Kevin Ding gets under the skin of many Lakers and Laker fans. Why? Because he tells it like it is. He doesn't pussyfoot around in his articles. He's by far my favorite Laker beat writer.
This article doesn't surprise me. Bynum is defiant. He tests his limits in an effort to expand his game. He reminds me of...wait for it...Kobe. That's what will make him great one day.
Best part of the article for me:
Of course the Lakers want to gain greater control of Bynum and have a more polished product at this point. But the reality is that Bynum, who has already won multiple titles and mentally accepted playing elsewhere after all the trade rumors, needs the Lakers a lot less than the Lakers need him.
That reality is not uncommon in the NBA – as seen so starkly with the entire Orlando Magic kingdom on its knees in front of Dwight Howard this season.
Truth bomb right there. Good stuff. :tu

Ding is a very great writer, unlike those abortions Plaschke and Simers.
