6 out of last 7 games, Spurs have been outscored in the 3rd, the Boston game being the most notable.

They had better get their shit together coming out of the locker room come playoff time.

Just sayin

But I assume the fourth quarter quarters they have outscored opponents a majority of the time.

I do agree though, the 3rd quarter hasn't been great lately, but usually the Spurs take it up a gear in the fourth.

They outscored the opponent 4 out of the last 7 fourth quarters. Not exactly a vast majority.

The Spurs of late seem to be doing their damage in the first half.

There has been a lot of garbage time in the 4th and even sometimes in the 3rd during the 11 win streak.

Stats in the 4th are not really relevant lately.

Non-issue. Just saying.

You should expect a run from the opposition in the 2nd half when Spurs are up 15-20 points at half-time. It's the nature of runs in the NBA. Spurs aren't going to go on and beat teams by 40, that just rarely ever happens because of runs and the law of averages relatively holding true (in terms of field goal %) throughout the course of a game.

Agreed about the 4th quarter not being as relevant. The 3rd quarter against the Celtics made me smh.

I think it might have something to do with us having such big leads at the half as well.

IIRC, the Duncan led Spurs have always been a pretty bad 3rd quarter team.

They deserved to lose the 3rd quarter vs. Utah. Six TOs led to 10 points. However, the Spurs did score 28 points.
