Take some 25-30 shot attempts away per game by the league's supremo gunner; and Sessons or Blake can feed those two very talented bigs more?

They play worse without Kobe, tbh, he draws doubles even though he's inefficient. Without him, people will double Bynum and Bynum is stupid when he gets doubled.

They just beat the Hornets though without Kobe! Obviously this means they're a better team without him.

LA showed me something today. They have good depth and clutch shooting. The impressive thing about this win though was they did it with hustle plays and grit. That was the difference.

Definitely. I hope Black Pumba sits out the rest of the season so that the Lakers could coast their way to the title.

Yep. Contenders. Once a healthy Kobe Bryant returns, sky's the limit.

Don't think so, but they'd definitely be better without Mike Brown. Every fucking non-Lakerfan on this forum could see he was going to burn Kobe out the way he played him.

IMHO everyone in Lakerland was panicking at how Mike Clown was over-utilizing TOSB and that he was going to burn him out even before the playoffs start.

This rest because of an injury, while at a cautious time of the season, will do Kobe good.

If it hasn't happened already, it's fair to say that ESPN NBA analyst/reporter Ric Bucher just fell out of Kobe Bryant's so-called "circle of trust."

That's the phrase Bryant coined years ago in describing reporters he allows in his inner circle because they'll fairly cover him. Some skeptics would contend that the reporters in the circle of trust won't ever challenge Bryant in exchange for favorable access. Bucher, a past Bryant confidant, proposed Tuesday on ESPN's "SportsCenter" the most absurd trade scenario the Lakers should consider leading into the March 15 deadline. That involved shipping off Bryant so they could rid themselves of his three-year, $83.5-million contract and invest more for the future.

http://articles.latimes.com/2012/mar/06/sports/la-sp-ln-la-espns-ric-bucher-lakers-should-consider-trading-kobe-bryant-20120306

LAL for the record should not trade Bryant - let him continued to be over-hyped and the primo reason that the LAL are most likely to fail in the playoffs; as he will continue to take over games when stats continue to prove he is not as clutch as most think.

(Manu not Kobe)

http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/24200/the-truth-about-kobe-bryant-in-crunch-time

You'd expect Los Angeles to also have one of the league's best offenses in crunch time, right? Especially with the ball in the hands of the player most suited to those moments.

That's not what happens, though. In the final 24 seconds of close games the Lakers offense regresses horribly, managing just 82 points per 100 possessions. And it's not a simple case of every team having a hard time scoring in crunch time:lol:lol

No, not really.

Kobe pulls wins out of his ass on a nightly basis. The Lakers dont and wont always play bottom feeders. Sure they won tonight.....against a terrible Hornets team.

They're both better and worse without him, if that makes any sense.

But getting blown out by Phoenix and then barely beating a team with the third worst record in the league doesn't really provide much evidence to support the claim of the OP.

Dont fall for DPG's tricks ...

I dont get why he fails to see the faults with this Laker team. he either has a Kobe hating plot (Kobe failed to lead a talented club) or maybe if Kobe leads the Lakers to a win over the Spurs he can credit Bynum or Pau ...

You aint fooling me, Im your huckleberry ...

I guess cuz Artest makes a key one tonight he is a GREAT 3 point shooter :toast

And our bench though the lowest scoring in the NBA, they set great screens and pass the ball well to our stars, right? Or is Kobe holding back Blake and Murphy from channeling their inner Dirk and Nash ... :lol
