will it be lebrons fault since they lost in 07.. if somehow the lakers pull one off and win it all:lobt2: will people call lebron a quitter? i feel like if that happens the basketball world will just rip lebron a new one.

Can't really compare, this year is an asterisk trophy.

Lebron's getting a new one ripped if he doesn't win it this year no matter what. It would be worse if Kobe and Brown beat them in the finals than if the the Spurs or Thunder did, but not as bad if the Bulls were to keep them out of the finals altogether.

Might as well make a thread on what happens if Belinelli wins Finals MVP.

Bynum alone is superior talent in comparison to that entire Cavs team. Hell, even MWP is better than anyone on that team. Either way Miami doesn't win this year period and Lebron will be put on a platter by the media...

You dont think he'll get fired after this year?

Brown is a couple of losses and a first round exit loss away from been fired.

I dont see him making it past this year honestly.

Guy has so much talent on his team and has zero clue what to do with it.

With Lebron it was easy because all he had to do was draw up plays for him alone.

Mike Brown is Jim Buss' hiring. If he wins a championship in any way, it will validate Jim's stupid hiring. Don't want that happening. I want Mike Brown in the the first flight out of LA after the season ends.

The Schedule alone makes it as tough as an 82 game season....b2b2b three times, and a bunch of back to backs...whoever wins this title will have earned it undoubtedly!.....:hat

Welcome back Ace. Nice to see you honor your bet (this time). You're still an asswipe though. :downspin:

If this happens, he would have done something MJ never did. Then there will be two undeniable truths:

Kobe 6, Shaq/TD 4 and...
Kobe > MJ

Who would be able to deny ^? :downspin:

It's like Kobe playing better than McGrady... in other words, it's not happening...

There was nothing to honor either time, Culburn offered grace both times...

If this happens, he would have done something MJ never did.

He's already done many things MJ never did...

Miss the playoffs in his prime, lose on the biggest stage as a heavy favorite, lose out on the Finals MVP not once, not twice, but three times...the list goes on and on...

Tbh, Kobe is a great player, top 10 guard of all time no doubt (some have him as high as #3 behind Jordan/Magic), but he's not, and will never be, on Jordan's level. You don't just leap from top 10 guard of all time to #1 GOAT player with an additional ring, especially if you dont have a Finals MVP to go with every one of your rings, and the person at the top of the list does.

If the Spurs or the Rockets (0,01% chance) don't win the title then I don't care who wins - as long as it is not a team with Lebron on it!
