Draft this guy in second round, dump Joseph

Spurs like cutting ties with their first round picks anyways

JCB would drive Pop insane and end up in his permanent dog house. Plus, he is redundant to and not as good as Gary Neal.

Spurs should strive to acquire as much PAT talent as they can

I too am a Longhorn alumni, but I don't think drafting Brown is a good idea. With the incoming true forwards and centers (at least based on height and talent) JCB stats might have gone down since they will have a post up game to rely on when needing half-court offense. His senior year couldn't hurt and he could better prepare himself for the NBA with that extra year.

I thought I read he was mostly leaving to provide for his daughter. Plus maybe he thinks this years talent is weaker than next years. I dunno. Regardless, good luck to him. I hope he finds the right team.

I just dont see the Spurs going American with a late 2nd rounder. Come to think of it, when was the last time that happened?

Tweener. D-League All-Star is his ceiling. Probably Euro bound.

I like J'Covan as a college player and definitely think he can get a job and some minutes somewhere, just not in the NBA. The comments made by Spurtacus are spot on; he's essentially the prototypical combo guard/tweener who doesnt do any one thing well enough to make it in the league. A solid playmaker and shooter, but isnt spectacular at either.

Dylankerouac- that is exactly why he stated he is leaving, time to start making some money and provide for his daughter.

I met J'Covan briefly on campus once and he was definitely a nice enough guy (side note: Tristan Thompson easily the most instantly likable UT athlete I have met in any sport, and I've run into a few basketball players and played pick up ball against a ton of football guys, some dicks definitely but some pretty cool). I wish him the best. Because of his natural scoring abilities paired with his solid paymaking skills I can definitely see him finding a lot of success somewhere, whether its the NBDL or some league in Europe. For his sake I hope its Europe, because I imagine he could make more $$$
