Update (Wednesday): Portland Trail Blazers Acting GM Chad Buchanan addressed the status of All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge's "sore right hip" on Wednesday morning. Jay Allen of 750 AM The Game reports that Buchanan lists Aldridge as "day-to-day" but that an "abnormality" was discovered during his visit to Vail and that surgery remains a possibility. Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports that Aldridge will undergo "further evaluation" over the next 48 hours before the team settles on a course of action. Aldridge will not play during Wednesday night's game against the Golden State Warriors.

Original Post (Tuesday): The Portland Trail Blazers announced that All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge will not practice on Tuesday because he "continues to experience soreness in his right hip." Aldridge will travel with trainer Jay Jensen to Vail, CO, for further evaluation by Dr. Marc Phillipon. Aldridge is listed as "questionable" for Wednesday's game vs. the Golden State Warriors.
Aldridge ranks No. 17 in minutes per game at 36.3. He has appeared in 55 of Portland's 58 games this season. He's currently averaging 21.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game this season.
Aldridge did not play against the Los Angeles Clippers on March 30 after undergoing a precautionary MRI on his right hip on March 29, 2012. He also underwent an MRI on his right hip in January 2011. At that time, the Blazers said he simply suffered a contusion. Aldridge also underwent surgery on his left hip in 2005 while a freshman at the University of Texas.
