The One Obama has been waiting for (http://legalinsurrection.com/2012/04/the-one-obama-has-been-waiting-for/)

Obama’s targeting of demonized groups has been narrowing over time (http://legalinsurrection.com/2009/03/barack-got-enemy/), something documented here since the 2008 campaign.

Remember when the Top 5% were the target? Phew, that’s so 2008 (http://articles.latimes.com/2008/aug/21/nation/na-taxplans21).

Then the Top 2%. Phew, that’s so 2009 (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123561551065378405.html).

Then the Top 1%. Phew, that’s so 2010 (http://taxprof.typepad.com/taxprof_blog/2010/02/obamas-budget-2.html).

Then Wall Street. Phew, that’s so 2011 (http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/obama-occupy-wall-st-protesters-you-are-reason-i-ran-office_610041.html).

No, old Eagle Eye has been circling long enough, and he has spotted his prey: About 400 people (http://nation.foxnews.com/warren-buffett/2012/04/11/obama-buffett-rule-only-targets-400-people) who would be afffected by the Buffett Rule.

But that will not suffice. 400 people is too broad. It’s hard to dig your claws into 400 people. There are too many job creators, innovators, and nice people.

Obama needs to lock onto and make an example of just one person (http://legalinsurrection.com/2011/09/cant-obama-just-find-someone-to-publicly-flog-and-be-done-with-it-already/):

“Can’t Obama just find someone to publicly flog and be done with it already?”

Yes he can. Yes he will. He can do this.

That person is The One (http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://static5.businessinsider.com/image/4ee9184eeab8ea440900001a/mitt-romney-money.jpg&imgrefurl=http://articles.businessinsider.com/2011-12-14/politics/30515127_1_mitt-romney-ddi-corp-bain-capital&usg=__LQnpOrch0lLkYkPLd4FkA8usLVI=&h=300&w=400&sz=60&hl=en&start=1&zoom=1&tbnid=-uUY6voYfy5mOM:&tbnh=131&tbnw=162&ei=eL2FT9lT5d7RAbqpzLMH&prev=/search%3Fq%3Ddemocratic%2Bnational%2Bcommittee%2Br omney%2Bmoney%26tbnh%3D143%26tbnw%3D191%26hl%3Den% 26sa%3DX%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:en-us:IE-Address%26rlz%3D1I7SKPT_en%26sig%3D112714248313711 679751%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D798%26tbs%3Dsimg:CAESE gn65Rjq-hh_1LiFr8iM_1J0jD5Q%26tbm%3Disch%26prmd%3Dimvnsu&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=170&vpy=180&dur=239&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=97&ty=54&sig=112714248313711679751&page=1&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0,i:75) Obama has been waiting for.
:lmao

Speaking of the Buffett Rule -- The thing with which Barack Obama has gone back to beating about the head and face. Not such a big deal when you actually look at the numbers.

Buffet rule isn't about fixing the defecit it's about Obama wanting to give people a warm fuzzy by being mean to rich people.

That being said, taxes need to go up across the board so I'm all for passing it.

Agreed. Talking about more tax cuts is stupid. I'm fucking pissed at having to write the check I'm about to write to the IRS but we have to do something about dealing with our deficits.

Does anyone really expect more from the worse president in history?

If republicans had half a brain they'd remind Obama about the speech he gave where he said he would seek to cut $3 of expenditures for every $1 in revenue, come up with their own package of cuts, lump those together with the Buffet tax and say "let's do this". Instead they've decided to draw a line in the sand and stand on the side that only has 400 people on it.

I can't believe the president actually thinks that cutting spending and increasing revenue will affect the deficit..worst ever!

Should have been passed when Obama owned both houses. Why wait till an election year?

Sadly, no.

Manufactured race, class, and gender warfare is his go to game. Hope and change is SO 2008.

Because democrats want the talking point more than they want the additional revenue.

I have change in my pocket and no hope in sight.

Heard that on a radio talk show yesterday from a caller. Thinking on making a bumper sticker out of it with a slash through Obama's symbol.

If they start with the people that pay no taxes, I'd agree.

Speaking of....did Buffett ever get to paying his taxes he spoke about for so long? I need to find that hard-on thread RG made and see if he knows. I still doubt he's paid it. Just a lot of blah blah blah

Meh. He doesn't hold a candle to the period from 1877-1901. Polk was responsible for genocide. I guess they didn't teach history at partschanger school.

I don't think so. I think it is more about getting the repubs to go against it and then use their normal attack line: they are only trying to help the rich.
