From a Dirk Dwight Deron big 3 to Eric Gordon... If they go after a Hornet, shouldn't it be Kaman at center?

They should go after Oden and roll the dice on him playing the whole season

If both of those guys would realize that they are injury prone damaged goods and would accept a modest salary, id take a chance on both and being in deron.

Deron/Gordon/Marion/dirk/oden

Isn't Gordon restricted? New Orleans has a lot of cash to spend, and if they lost Gordon the CP3 trade would look terrible. I don't think they want to part with him.

In other words, the mavericks don't have a Plan B.

And just to make it clear my comments aren't really serious hopes or anything I doubt NO lets him walk as someone said. I wouldn't pay him a lot though.

Eric Gordon would be a nice replacement for Jet, but if we get him and not Deron, this upcoming offseason will be a colossal failure.

can't agree with most of you tbh, gordon has alot of potential and would be a better fit for mavs system then deron. roddy/gordon would be a solid backcourt pair for the future 10yrs imho

they're fucked anyway since DH ain't joining them this coming summer, even with deron signed they're still no greater then a 2nd rd fodder if/when their best C is contract whore tbh

please take him!

sons honestly at this point I wouldn't be against the Hornets sending him to Dallas and agreeing to pay the first $10 million of his new contract with them just to get him out of here.

so son you're cool with them paying that kind of money for a guy who will have missed well over 100 games in two and a half years? not just one nagging injury either, numerous random injuries each time.

53+ games missed and counting this season

26 games missed in 2010-11

20 games missed in 2009-10

I thought the mavs FO said that if they couldn't get Dwight they'd go after Nash...

son some Hornets fans act like Gordon is one of the best guards in the NBA and that we should build the team around him. it really is comical to listen to that foolishness.

even if Gordon is healthy (which he hasn't been in a long time) he's not even a top 15 shooting guard in the NBA. the dude put up 22 points per game last season on a crappy team when only playing in 56 games (missed 26 games due to pussy problems) and some people were ready to crown this guy as a king.

although Emeka Okafor isn't an injury prone vagina like Eric Gordon, their situations coming to the Hornets were fairly similar.

for five season when Okafor was playing for the shitty Bobcats he put up an average of over 14 points per game and over 10 rebounds per game. I can remember people saying "once he is playing alongside Chris Paul he will become the next big 20 and 10 player in the NBA!" ... and now nearly 3 years later Okafor has been decent, but has put up career lows in every category. He averaged a double, double in each of his five seasons with Charlotte and hasn't done that not once in any of his seasons here. as a matter of fact he hasn't even put up more than 10 points per game.

Eric Gordon will be the same song and dance when playing on a decent team. whether it is here in New Orleans or elsewhere he is nothing more than a selfish, chucker who will put up points when playing on a shitty team.

9 mil is a wee high for an injury-prone player like him tbh.

Yeah, son. We need your politicking. Please cast your vote on Bill 14 (The Disappearing Act Act) and Bill 6 (The Anti-Welching Act).

God Bless, son.

Why go after a restricted FA like Gordon when Marco is available as an unrestricted FA.
