Javtokas 2.0

showed good size (6' 11.75" in shoes) and an outstanding vertical of 40.5'' plus a fantastic time in the agility test (10.64, that's where you usually find PGs with the "speedy" label). for a 252 lbs 7 footer thoses are unbelievable numbers.

The only knock on him is his age...he'll be 24 by the time the season starts.

RIDICULOUS vert for a big guy. No step of 34, run up of 40.5. Those are guard/SF numbers. You have to understand the game to play at Duke, too.

So if he's that amazing in terms of raw numbers, why isn't he a star? Is he just a workout warrior?

Duke is a system. He had to play within it. At the NCAA level, the coach holds all of the power. They can make or break you with PT.

So why wasn't he a breakout success at Nevada against weaker competition?

Edit: I'm not trying to say he sucks, because I don't really know. Just trying to understand what the deal is here.

The game is full of people like this kid with tons of potential but either to lazy or doesn't have the heart to play the game. Most mocks have him going into the SECOND ROUND>

Considering that right now we only have a late second round pick, we should be looking at second round guys, don't you think?

Well since our pick is what 59 or 60 I just consider that pick a 3rd round..lol.

The only time I would draft based on potential is if the guy has heart and a great work ethic...if not Pass........

He sucks at basketball but his combine results were so great that he's worth a gamble at 59 just in case he's a really late bloomer.
