They're both damaged goods... plus Kobe has a no trade clause, so it's moot

c: Bynum/hill
pf: Howard/mcroberts/murphy

Would be bad for marketing to lose Coach Kobe, tbh. LAL is a business franchise, afterall.

Offensively, Bynum and Howard make no sense together.

Who cares? with those two you would only have to score 60 pts per game to win games. And I'm sure they would get more or less that amount only on put-backs.

Talking about coach. Where the hell did Brian Shaw go? Wasn't he the asstn. coach or something? Haven't seen him on the lakers bench for a while now.

Ah no wonder then.

Was it a wounded pride thing? Going from assistant coach to almost coach could be pretty deflating. Specially when you have given the Lakers a good amount of serving years and if that's not enough you go and hire Mike Brown. lol

Probably, Phil intended for him to take over when he was gone. If the 3peat happened, he would step down with LAL's brass having trust in his triangle and putting Shaw at the helm.

Got swept, FO decided it was time to ditch the system. I'm not sure he would keep his job even if he didn't leave.
