Too tight in the West at that level to tank. Regardless, they'd be tanking to get the Lakers.

Everyone thinking every team should automatically win against NO.

That team is no slouch. I'm seeing this game and maybe its just me but I see a hustling Memphis team out there.

Memphis is better of with LAC in first round and then wait for SA in 2nd round.

Good news is Memphis is now 3 back of the Lakers in the loss column with 5 to go, all but guaranteeing LA HCA in the 1st round.

Hornets have been playing better since Gordon, Landry, and Kaman came back healthy. They're about to win their 3rd in a row and now 2-0 since Benson bought the team.

Season sweep, tight in the west and they tank?

Hornets are now 5-2 with Gordon in the lineup.

Memphis' schedule is cake down the stretch, but tonight was supposed to be that way too.

If they land in the 7th or 8th spot with this schedule then you'll know they've tanked for sure.

They will be rolling the dice if they tank, it's easy to slip into 9th if you're not careful tanking for 7th.

If they succesfully pull that off the my hats off to them.

I dont know how you can tank when everything is so so tight. You cant tank too much because if you do you may find yourself out of the playoffs.

You cant just turn it on after trying to tank. Next thing you'll do is find yourself in danger, try to win games but cant.

Didn't NOH take LA to overtime just a week ago?

Apparently, Marc got hurt too...

Hornets beat Memphis easily, Gordon plays well, yet Marco struggled.

I wouldn't take ANY team for granted AT ALL, at this point.

... As we all know, they have absolutely nothing to lose like the other ('playoff') teams do. :ihit

Seeds 1-8 have a shot to beat any other seed in the West. The West is really strong this year.

Smart move tbh.

Memphis can't beat the Spurs this season. However, getting them in the 1st round means a very physical series, which the Spurs should try to dodge until later rounds.

Bring on the Grizz. 4-0 this year.

they're tanking for the lottery pick maybe, they have yet to clinch a playoff seat imho

This is ridiculous. (a) NO is not a bad team, they pushed the Spurs to the limit last time they played in NOLA. (b) It's lamebrained to think that at this point in the season with all the races so close someone would deliberately tank a game because they think that somehow all the other variables will fall into place and advantage them.

No way Lakers farm team faces Lakers in 1st round.
