Eh, Tupac was more musically inclined, a better performer, a better showman, and he had an ear for catchy hooks.

Biggie was a much, much better rapper, though.

Spursfan092120
04-16-2012, 01:04 PM
and as a rap artist

most definitely. Biggie may have ended up better in the end, but he didn't have enough time to get to Tupac's level. Just like Tupac, he died way too soon. If both of them stayed alive, they'd still be phenomenal. And the fact that Tupac still has unheard music coming out, shows me his passion for the music.

Whose death lead to the biggest musical abortions?

I'm not going to say I've heard every posthumous tupac track, and I definitely remember tht disgraceof a track that Eminem produced, but biggie dying gave us the atrocity of puffy self-anointing himself an MC, and that total fourth-grade level sampling string of hits that helped make him the rich, never going away piece of garbage he is today. Anyone remember that album he did with the bad boy family? Talk about a dark age for rap.

Again, gotta hand this category to tupac

I wasn't a big fan of Blow the Whistle, but that verse about Nancy Reagan in Cusswords was incredible. imo pac's best verses were never really on his singles. Death Around the Corner, and Got My Mind Made Up come to mind.

Got My Mind Made Up has to be one of the best compilations of all-time.

Yup, and they cut Deck's verse for some reason. He says INS the rebel at the very end.

I would also add Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version, Only Built for Cuban Linx, Ironman, and Liquid Swords to your list.

"So mandatory my elevation my lyrics like orientation / So you can be more familiar with the nigga you facing"

Probably his nicest verse, tbh.

Damn, that was an incredible album. Loved the What They Do video that shitted all over every Biggie video. Definitely one of the best hip hop videos of all time, though Redman's "I'll Be Dat" has to be #1

http://www.thegrio.com/entertainment/suge-knight-says-pac.php

Death Row impresario Suge Knight is doing his part to keep those pesky Tupac Shakur conspiracy theories alive. In a recent radio interview, Knight suggested that Shakur was not the victim of a murder and might still be living. "Maybe the question is...Pac's not really dead...Pac's somewhere else," Knight says. TMZ reports:

There is a VERY good chance Tupac Shakur is alive and well ... and hiding ... this according to the man who was with him during the supposedly fatal shooting in Vegas, Suge Knight.

Knight just appeared on 93.5 KDay in L.A. with Tattoo and Cee Cee ... and pumped some major fuel into the biggest urban legend in hip hop ... that Tupac FAKED his own death.

Knight says his theory explains why cops never found his murderer -- because there was no murder.

That dickhead is just trying to drum up sales of all the Death Row Pac albums. Suge is the shadiest motherfucker in the history of the game, and no one should put any stock in what he says. Suge Knight was the Rampart scandal and it was his boys in the LAPD who killed Biggie.

I know No Limit usually puts out complete bullshit, but how did this whiny garbage ever get green-lighted? And Silkk sounds like he's having a heart attack.
