They touch down at another NBA city and check their smartphones to help them adjust to a new time zone while their own bodies struggle. They arrive with bags under their eyes and often depart that city a day later sleepless, jet-lagged, stowing sore joints and heavy legs.

During this lockout-shortened NBA season, it's been a grueling routine: 66 games played in 124 days, a pace of one per 1.88 days, or 8.5% faster than a usual season. Every team has played back-to-back-to-back sets and stretches such as nine games in 12 days; the Clippers played 20 games in 31 days in March, a marathon that has not been on the NBA schedule in 45 years.

:rolleyes

it's a fucking game, it's less than 40 minutes on the court, it's what other people do for fun or to unwind after a 10 hour work day.

smoke some weed, eat some candy, and then play in an NBA basketball game :downspin:

Not quite. I personally struggle every day light savings switch. It may be silly but I struggle with zeitgebers, or sleep/waking triggers. When you switch them up i get 'untethered' and it causes massive insomnia. Thank god for ambien.

If i were forced to switch references like that I would have severe problems. i am worse than most but I can see for some it being very problematic.

They missed the chance to make a point. Instead it reads like a sob story about millionaires missing their naps.

With either of those, you can get the other two.

Hahah. What a thread. Boutons posts about the evil overlords depriving the proletariat millionaires of their beauty sleep, and Fuzzy comments about getting "untethered" every time we switch to freaking daylight savings time.

But, hey, there's a picture of Duncan yawning, so there's a Spurs hook. It's all good.

BTW - Kawhi is a mid-first-round pick, and he gets paid $1.7M. Most people would lose a little sleep for that kind of money. Every one of these guys had the option of going/staying overseas, in a more forgiving environment.

With either of those, you can get the other two.

LOL... fungible assets.
