M Melancon starts the 8th and proceeds to pitch this gem...
I Kinsler doubled to left.
E Andrus walked.
J Hamilton homered to right, I Kinsler and E Andrus scored.
A Beltre homered to center.
D Murphy hit for M Young.
N Cruz walked.
N Cruz homered to center, D Murphy scored.
Final Line: 0.00 Outs, 4 hits, 6 runs given up.
I don't think he'll pitch in Boston uniform again.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Clayton Kershaw (going back to last season) throws a first pitch strike 68% of the time. When he does that, the league bats .134 against him. That's insane.
Another crazy stat: The Nationals are averaging over one K per inning...their pitching staff has really come around, although it's only been 11-12 games.

Ha! When I tried to copy and paste from ESPN, this thing froze up, so when I was recutting, I missed that error. It should have been D Murphy that walked, obviously :D
The whole Red Sox pitching is not worth that of a minor league rotation right now.
Lester and Beckett have become a total joke. What the hell happened to those two? I'd trade Beckett while he still have some value, its clearly he's given up.
