The F-14 and the mig-29 are IMO the two most badass looking military planes. I always think about classical sports car when I see one of those.

Oh Really? It was my understanding the Kelly runways/flight controls were absorbed into Lackland when Kelly was closed. There is constant military traffic going in and out of there.

It's technically called the "Kelly Field Annex" to Lackland.

Lackland uses the Kelly runway. Last time I was there they had C-5's and F-16's from the Texas ANG and reserve. That was in 2006 though.

They just "moved the fence". They need an active AFB runway there for certain missions that didn't go away when Kelly and the ALC closed.
